Yep!
Basically it uses the orginal PS3 camera to record motion capture and it picks up the movment of the 'Orb' of the controller.
According to several reviews they say that Sony have stolen the idea however like all new concepts they have improved and made it better. The accuracy is miles better.
For me I was going to get a Wii for the family last month until I discovered that the PS Move was coming out. Saves having to buy an additional console.
The draw backs so far is that there's not many games out. However, lots have due dates such as SOCOM & Heavy Rain
Got my kids the Wii last Xmas and they (and their mom) love it. Me? Peh. I think you should sat down on your ass playing video games, only moving your thumbs and maybe a finger or two. I'll stick with me regular PS3.

Had a Wii for a while and it didn't take long to realise that it works just as well laying on the sofa and just swinging your arm slightly.
Move is a different beast to the Wii . Flicking wrists etc do not work with the Move . Its very precise 1 to 1 tracking so if you are playing for instance a golf /racket sport you have to do the full actual swing .
Also if anyone has young kids get the game " Start the Party " for them they will love it . Sports Champions is also a great game .
