As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Well I have seen a few matches , and its not Youtube. He is the real deal.. As I say if you are good enough you are old enough. Our youth plolicy had to many players who weren't good anough and thus not old enough. I am all but dead certain that would not be an issue with Lukaku for one minute.
Fair enough but there are other players who have had their chance. If Lukaku is in fact another Drogba we would be foolish not to get him - especially since Chelsea almost certainly will if we don't move now. It might be a long shot to get him but we should try right now because now is about our best and possiblly only chance to do it.
Arsenal has built a good reputation that encourages young players to come here. Lots of young players get starting team opportunities, particularly if they earn it. At the same time, Wenger and Co. do not rush or push players along. I hope most players see that and will consider Arsenal first if given the choice.
He does but not upfront, the lad is exactly like Diaby (Jack of all trades but master of none). Its taken our reserve team coaching staff forever to find his best position and imo as a striker he is nothing compared to Afobe or Aneke.

The new Drogba
Drogba hasn't exactly been Drogba in international compeititon even before 2010. BY the same token Franny Jeffers couldn't stop scoring for England U-21's which masked just how porr he really was for longer than it should.
The bottom line is we don;'t want himm to play for England but for Arsenal FC and as he has done splendidly for RSC Anderlecht I supect he would do fine for Arsenal as he is clearly an extremely effective player in club football.

JET the new Diaby , it's a bit harsh
He has scored in every game he played with the Reserves so far, he's brilliant. He deserves to play more, whatever the position, he knows how to score, pass the ball, and he's so strong physically! I think he can be great up front or on the wings.

that's very harsh, mate.
i think he looked terrific on the wings or up front. he's very big and strong, but still can pass the ball quickly and has great technique.
i like JET and i do think he is already first team material.
I don't know that anyone is dismissing JET at this point. I would have Lukaku replace someone else myself - but Lukaku as performed for the first team at Anderlecht at the Level JET has only performed for ther reserves. Both may prove to be the real deal but its nice to have the real deal now not just five years from now.
