It wouldn't suprise me at all if this happened.

The Alcoholic has a history of flogging stars that he falls out with (Beckham/Stam/Barthez) and it may well be that he is under huge pressure to sell by the board and this is an easy way out for all concerned. They could happily say that the sale was for football reasons only whilst masking the fact they are simply trying to balance the books.

On top of this, who knows what is going on in the Rooney household. Maybe Chav Queen Coleen has said she wants out of England?

Didn't a certain Ronaldo leave for £80million not so long ago?

Must be a fun job in the Man Utd finance department....
All that did was help make the books balance. Just look at the headlines last week about Man Us heavy debts.

It does look like he is off but his form is shocking. Doesnt look able to play the game at the moment.
They should get 40 Million for him but a massive gamble to any club that goes for it.

Oh! That'll be nice.

Goes to Barca for £35-£40M. Then Barca (again) can't afford Cesc!
Thanks SAF!

Thing is he's having a bad patch but he's still a top draw player and surely they'ld be mad to let him go!

He didn't sell him. He just sent him to his stables to breed with Rock of Gibraltar for a while.

Although the reports are widespread, there hasn't actually been a quote from Rooney or their club.Imo Rooney and fergie will be back loving each other in a few weeks time. I also read somewhere that nobody can actually afford the 60 million price tag other then Man City. Wouldn't it be a right quick where it hurts for fergie if he lost Tevez and Rooney to man city

I for one hope we dont sign Rooney, Torres, Messi et al - just think of the damage it will do to Bendtner's progress!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I could see Rooney going to Real Madrid as they've wanted him for some time now, and Benzema going the other way, as Madrid want him out and SAF would probably piss on himself at the idea of maybe making a new Cantona...

He needs to work out why his form has slipped, and correct it. Not throw a tantrum.
NOW it all makes sense. You aren't a stooge for the Board. Why not just intoduce yourself Formally Mr. Hill-Wood?

How on earth does my comment about Rooney have anything to do with the Arsenal Board and Hill-Wood?

Why is this troll trying to hijack yet another thread?

Martin is back and here goes another thread to the dogs. :banghead:

Anyway if you are Mr. Hill-Wood can I commend you on the excellent job you are doing at the Arsenal board level. :barscarf:
