Arshavin?
Arshavin has not been at his best so far this season... But I'm quite sure he'll be of use to us at some moment in the season. As annoying as his attitude can be sometimes on the pitch, he will give us some points this season. I say keep him. Good wide players that are cheap don't come often these days...

anyone could have done what he has. he is a luxury player who lets everyone else do the work so he can take the credit.skipper wrote:So let me see if I got this right...most people here wants us to sell (in January) Arsenal player who has the best assist record in Premiership this season

Talking about clueless...
he has had some great moments in the arsenal shirt (4 at anfield , his goal at home v blackburn etc) but he doesn't work hard enough .

If he worked harder, he wouldn't be Andrei Arshavin!Henry Norris 1913 wrote:anyone could have done what he has. he is a luxury player who lets everyone else do the work so he can take the credit.skipper wrote:So let me see if I got this right...most people here wants us to sell (in January) Arsenal player who has the best assist record in Premiership this season

Yes he's a lazy bugger sometimes but he justified his entire salary with one pass yesterday - the inch perfect "two" in the "one-two" with Nasri that led to our first goal, a first goal which was crucial to us getting three massive points.
Players like Arshavin are few and far between - so long as he's changing the outcome of games, I can live with his laziness.

We have clowns like Diaby and Eboue who round around the pitch like headless(make that brainless)chickens who dont create a tenth of the chances Arshavin does.Arshavin after Cesc is the best passer at the club as his assists record proves .Yes he's lazy but he is also quality

Mostly agreed with all you've put. But I hate laziness in anyone.Jumpers For Goalposts wrote:Yes he's a lazy bugger sometimes but he justified his entire salary with one pass yesterday - the inch perfect "two" in the "one-two" with Nasri that led to our first goal, a first goal which was crucial to us getting three massive points.

I think Rosicky looks good though ( off topic, I know ).

Can they? So why aren't the likes of Nasri and co joint top of the assists? Why did our first two goals involve Arshavin picking the pass that unhinged the City defence? In CL and Prem, Arshavin has the most assists, one less goal then Nasri and a slightly better goal/assist per minute then Nasri does I believe. We are lucky to have two wingers flying at the momentHenry Norris 1913 wrote:

Just seems strange to me that one gets praised and the other one people want sold.

Arshavin is a great player, one of our best BUT he is not doing enough for me. With cesc or van persie on the pitch I'm sure that we would have won against sunderland and west brom.
Arshavin should be right up there with both of them as match winners but isn't producing. He deserves his place at the moment but if Nasri continues his form and walcott gets back to the level that he was at, at the beginning of the season then I would drop arsh and play nasri on the left and walcott on the right.

statistics suggest denilson is the best passer in the premier league.Magic Hat wrote:Can they? So why aren't the likes of Nasri and co joint top of the assists?
