It's rtoo much of a downer. Well, of course it is, but pretending you make that change any more than pretending makes a disease go away or a debt disappear. Pretending you won't die someday wpon't make it so you will be immortal.
We are all unhappy with the recent turn of events since 2005. Created willfully dishonest explanations for what is happening and why because its easier than putting in the effort to learnb the facts and than act accordingly is how Liverpool ended up with Hicks and Gillette and how Man U ended up with the Glazers - because supporters didn't want to know the truth because them they had to deal with it.
Pretnding otherwise is just well supporters who would rather do can be said to every buiit as much to blame as the Board itsellf if they sell us in a debt-leveraged take-over. And if that happens trust we'll all remember where we all stood. No onne will ever forget oor be allowed to forget. And trust me it won't just be me reminding you then. But I will be one of them.
For every diehard fan that cares about the wellbeing of the club (and I count myself as one of these) there are 10 plastic fans that will spring up and take our place were we to boycott the club.
Your precious petition has absolutely no effect at all if it isn't backed up by the threat of action. The only action open to the fans is boycott, which no one wants to do and even if they did there is still the matter of the 10 plastics taking our place.
I do not have a major shareholding in Arsenal football club, I am not an influential figure in either the FA or the premier league and I hold no sway at the FSA or in government. Individuals in these positions of power can make a difference to the situation. All we can do is write letters to our MPs and hope that the board are not being disingenuous when they say that they are custodians of the club.
This is the gooner forum not the UN general assembly, stop trying to form some kind of popular fans movement from a constituency of a few Irish guys, various drunks and potheads from the home counties and a Brazilian that got lost on the internet and somehow wandered in here.
People come on here to talk about the games and enjoy the craic. Not to read self righteous conspiracy theories, unless they are unintentionally hilarious like roly's that is.
You're like that annoying guy at a party that is going to talk about what he wants to talk about whether anybody is in any way interested. I got cockblocked by a guy like you once, only his pet subject was the environment. We got rid of him in the end but it totally killed my momentum, I was this fucking close AAAARGH. What was I talking about again?

As to the rest of your efforts to justify not trying to do anything because it;'s too much bother, what a load of crap. Self-serving crap at that. You'd love ot believe there's nothing you can do because doing nothing is easy.
The idea that the only option we have is to boycott matches is frankly silly, as there are plenty of options ahead of such extreme actions, especially now. With what has happened at Liverpoll fresh in peple's minds we can - again if we are willing to try - possibly exert far more influence than you want to believe.on a number of matters. Does that mean the Board will simply capitualte to our every demand or request or address our every concern? No. Does it mean they will address any of them? No.
It simply means it much more likely than they will if we're led by people like you who don't have the time or desire to try to achieve that, but will be the first in the protest line trying to pretend they were there from day one and cared every bit as much from day one.
As I say you simply would rather believe they simply don't care how we feel because that's easier than having to make the effort to show them how .So don't make the effort but stop complaingin because other people are and it makes uncomfortable to be reminded you don't want to.
Your snide dismisslas on the debt leverage issue are even better, as if it's jsut bad. Of course it's bad we all know that but again too many people want to just trust the Board or just not make a little effort themselves otherwise.
You think this wasn't the case at Liverpool? You think there weren't guys like me annoying the shit out of guys like you trying to get you to do as little as possible to make difference let alone as much as possible? Some AZ Murray bloke warning that they were going to be in serious trouble. And there was probably some bloke like you waxing poetically about being cockblocked by a dude like him at some party>
Simple question think they give that AZ bloke the same shit now about that stuff?
Tell us what you really think about those twoSPUDMASHER wrote:Henry Winter is so full of his own importance I sometimes wonder how he manages to fit Fergusmoans cock in there as well!
Rooney is a fat granny shagging scouse c**t who would probably be in prison now if he couldn't kick a football.
Neither of them are worth a *****!

Haha, yeah, and you can add to that the Tennis Players, the striking Frenchmen and the Chairman of the Whitstable Tourist Board (currently AWOL).LDB wrote:U.F.G Anfield '89 wrote:

I think the thing that irratates me the most about this whole nonsense, is the fact that this f*cking retard has been crap for most of the last 12 months not just for United but for England as well. Yet he is off making ultimatums to the most successful manager in English football and probably the biggest club in the world...and even more annoyingly they are bending over for the twat...
I don't believe for one second that this contract is anything other than a reaction from Rooney to the huge negative reaction from the United fans. It's no coincidence he signs a new contract the day a number of fans in balaclavas turn up at his house issuing threats.
I honestly believe that he like other top players are so out of touch with regular fans that he and his agent actually thought they could feed them the club aren't ambitious enough spiel to cover up his greed and disloyalty and they would swallow it and go against the club whilst he swanned off to the next big thing still the hero, they were wrong..
I see this contract as nothing more than cover for the fat bastard from the wrath of the fans until he leaves and also an opportunity for United to get full value on the transfer fee when he does either in January or the summer. Unless Fergie is going senile i don't see how he can let Rooney stay even if by some miracle Rooney has changed his tiny mind, because a player making ultimatums and getting away with it undermines Fergies power and i can't see him letting that happen...

I'm glad all our players are foreign. At least they're not a bunch of gigantic pricks off the pitch.
