I was married in 2002. I made sure a year in advance that it didn't clash with any of our late fixtures, the FA cup Final or the world cup by cleverly (romantically, she thinks
) booking the wedding on the 4th anniversay of our first date, July 9th, thus making sure I missed none of the footy. AND scored huge brownie points for being soooooooo romantic.
Couldn't talk her into having the honeymoon before the wedding, oh say, in Japan in June...?
