As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Well this is the next bit of the article so make of it what you will!

The rumour mill has already thrown up the name of Gary Cahill as a replacement. The tough-tackling Bolton defender has developed a fine reputation since moving from Aston Villa and won his first England cap in September.

“I wouldn't like to give you a name,â€

Tbh we should just sign Cahill anyway. Plus the chances are TV is going to take a while to be the player he was so it would make sense to sign someone no matter what. I'ld love Cahill at Arsenal

Bas as the official Pravda rep on here you are slipping.
If Arsène Wenger buys anyone in January, it will be a centre back.

Speaking at Tuesday’s press conference, the Arsenal manager ruled out buying a striker, midfielder and goalkeeper. And he will only consider acquiring a defender if Thomas Vermaelen suffers a set back in his rehabilitiation.

Not a prayer anyone coming in.

TV will only be 'weeks' away from resuming light training, if need be Song can always cover at CB with Denilllllll.....son filling in for him. And who's to say AW won't stick Eboue in as cb cover anyway. Or perhaps Wilshere.

Agreed. With TV unlikely to be back soon and Djourou's injury record.Plus the Chuckle brothers. We need a CB anyway.Be it Cahill or Mertesacker. But it aint going to happen.Because it would mean Wenger would be admiting he was wrong when he signed the Chuckle brothers in the summer. And stubborn Wenger doesnt do that
