That he is right out of the Andy Cole mould (so lets hope we don't flog him off for £1m)

While some youngsters will have a career in the game - he is thought to have a career at the top level with Arsenal. Fingers crossed.
and from what i've seen so far, chucks aneke looks to be the same level of quality (and consistency) of afobe. he's brilliant both in the middle of the park or in the wing.

i get the feeling from match reports, that the front 3 at youth level are more adept at actually playing as a front 3 than those who play as a front 3 for the first team...

fingers crossed

Brilliant? I love your enthusiasm bG but you cant rate the future Crystal Palace players  as brilliant when they are playing against the likes of Darlington under-18's :banghead:

darlington doesn't have a clue about defending, but still you can see that aneke and afobe are the standout performers in this team, and they are not only very good technically but combine very well together.

they could always turn into the new aliadiere, but it's worth taking a look, both look incredible prospects :barscarf:

by the way, steve bould really has a "next arsenal manager" look on his face, doesn't he?

and i guess i wouldn't be sad if he really became the next boss :barscarf:

aneke went to my old school, i was a couple of years above him. a couple of months back i saw my old p.e. teacher and he was telling me how good he was and that the people at arsenal reported back to the school that they think very highly of him and he is one for the first team in the future for sure if he keeps progressing like he is.

Youngguns says Benik Afobe is going to Bolton on loan.

Sounds like a good move at the right time for him.

But where does it leave us upfront?

Giroud.

Podolski - thought he would play wide but may well have to be used centrally too.

Park - likely to leave.

Chamakh - not very good any more.

Walcott - if he stays, maybe he will get a go in front of goal at times?
