I find it very interesting that you say that since to me it seems that a lot of what passes for dubstep now doesn't really get the point of what dubstep actually is. It's one of the reasons I found myself less interested in it. There's all these ridiculous basslines and no shuffle or step to the beat. It's more like dubstomp now IMO!

'Luke Envoy - Honour Kill' and 'Juju - Punks' are my two favourite tunes of all time. Gully but not ridiculously heavy - although I can imagine that true dubstep purists would say that they are too new and 'not real' themselves. It was always a funny old genre!

It is my honest opinion that Skream hasn't really made many tunes that great since 'Calous' either BUT I am fully aware that is just my own opinion.

I liked dubstep when it was kinda grimey still and sounded just like a dark, grey London council estate on a rainy night. Now it just sounds like clowns stamping around in slow motion

I was at Koko's in Camden on Saturday and some of his songs were actually ok, as i said im not a huge fan of Dubstep but it was ok to listen to, i have no idea how your supposed to dance to it though.

It used to be easy before all this stomp business came in. I've seen all the ketted up Indie kids just moshing to it now...

Imagine it is still four to the floor but you have to fill in the extra snare yourself. It's actually faster than house music by about 10 beats per minute. Do a little 2-step shuffle. That'll work!

I wish bagleys was still about, that and the drome used to be my fav london venues. Still loads of good clubs about, egg in kings cross is amazing for all spectrums of house and literally never closes!!! Messy!
They used to do some good raves in the rocket, Always find it funny going there before a match. Keep on expecting rat pack or micky finn to come on and scare red action

Amazing club, it did shut then reopened as something else but i think its shut now.

The End was shut again last I knew!

Happy memories of there!

The End reopened as The Den. It was pretty terrible when I went. I loved The End - alas.

I've never heard dubstep until now, was always curious about what it was. After listening to that, I can safely say it is the worst music I've ever heard.
