Hold on..... I don't think they even go on sale until Monday!
Iceman29 wrote:Sky just said both us and Brum have got 33,000 tickets.
Happens every year of course, but no less ridiculous that we get the same number of tickets. That means every one of their members will get to go, whereas 1/3rd of our season ticket holders and 100% of red and silver members miss out. How fair is that?
Iceman29 wrote:Where are the other 1,200 tickets?
Squad of 30 senior/junior players getting maybe 10 each......15 coaching staff x10, 300 backroom staff getting a couple of tickets each....? A few for the local councillors who were so much more accomodating than their Haringay counterparts  ! Doesn't take long to reach 1,200.....

Capacity is 90,000.

But 10,00 are corporate clubs and boxes.

66,000 to clubs to sell to fans.

1,000 to clubs for players, families, staff etc.

Perhaps 1,000 for media?

Another 1,000 for FA and Football League officials, UEFA, FIFA and assorted foreign officials etc.

Perhaps 1000 to Armed Services and local schools?

So where do 10,000 tickets go?

Carling taking 9,000 and SamiS a 1,000! :D

Seriously though, I know Carling sponsor it but 10,000 is an insult to fans of the clubs involved.

If they get 2,000 for their staff and competition winners etc then fair enough, but the effects of sponsorship are not always in the fans' best interests..

Aaah its going to be such a magical day arranged to go club shop at 11 to buy Eboue shirt and hats scarfs and so on then get to restaurant by 2 might get into ground 10mins late but who cares the game can wait for me to settle then on 40th minute head inside for pie to miss nasty queues get in on the 50th minute after relaxing in the concourse eating to my leisure then ill take out my brand new camera to take some photos whilst BBMing and Facebooking friends to let them know where I am before I make a quick get away on the 85th minute so as to avoid all the matchday commoner traffic

I'm soooooooo excited :) if I'm feeling real crazy I may start a song like I love AW and chuck in a few Oles if we score early so as to wind up those Brummy *word censored*!!!!

It should be..

43,000 for fans of the teams contesting the final
2,000 for backstaff, players family bla bla of both clubs
1,000 for Sponsors
3,000 for Armed forces
1,000 local school and hospital

But it won't.. Which means writing this post was a complete waste of time.

Birmingham City have actually put up a general sale date!

:coffeespit:

Isn't this their first final since God knows how long? GS date was 22nd Feb I think, which is like a week before the game. Sadly I think it will sell out before hand, but if not, I'm definitely getting a ticket or 2.
