As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Most people are fairly angry about today, if we end up fucking up tomorrow then it would be a fairly nasty atmosphere.
I don't know any real people who are 'fairly angry', and I know a lot of Gooners - Yesterday I had the normal e mails and messages around Carling Cup tickets, where we are meeting tonight, Torres, Carroll etc and nobody has even mentioned how 'angry' they are.
This forum has the ability to really distort what 'most' people are thinking, as the most rabid keyboard warriors have the ability to convince others what their opinions should be. I appreciate it is more difficlut to judge the mood when you are detached from the match going fans, and perhaps your only form of reference is this forum, but I assure you, I am not angry, I am looking forward to a vital league game and a trip to Wembley, etc.
I think we should probably have bought a centre half, but some of the 'justification' on here is just mental ; because Squillachi is suspended? FOR ONE GAME!
Kyle Bartley has gone on loan, and was apparently our 'best reserve', and it deserved the 'head banging' emoticon. FFS.
I'm sure the clique will get stuck in, and label me a rosetinter or a super fan or whatever, but I really could not give less of a shit.
This forum is an embarassment of negativity considering how well we are doing on four fronts this season.
Many other places are negative also though mate. The Herd forum is equally as angry and negative.
Face book pages show how angry and negative people are feeling. I know some real well known fans that would of laughed 10-15 years ago of the thought of selling there seasons tickets back on a match by match basis. Or deciding not to buy any Arsenal merchandise just because they are fed up with the how the club is running.
While some people are happy many are not and I haven’t seen so much discomfort at arsenal for a long time.
I do agree that on this site there are many keyboard warriors that inflate the negativity by some degree all on the match day thread at home.
However I am not a keyboard warrior, I only post when I am at work and I also will be there tonight. Though I am angry with what’s going on and I know plenty like me.
No matter what I will carry on going, but I don’t know how much more I can take. If we finish in top 4 loose the league to defensive errors and suffer more loss to the team (i.e. cesc going) and no replacement then I will have to weigh up my options with my season ticket.
Its even harder that my season ticket is in block 6 and the real fans around me keep disappearing and idiots in there place.

the Cook, good post. My father had a offer recently for a hand down of two Club Class. I would of taken then if I didn't live in Cumbria and if I remember well Terry O'Neill and Mee regin then the fottball today is still light years ahead.
I sincerely wish some so 'called fans' at the Emirates would perhaps think about this as they leave 15 mins early or one texting his office non-stop...

Don’t think ive left a game early in my life. Never will. If I am there I am there to support the team no matter what.

I think both of you make good points. My support of Wenger is waning as I've been hacked off with some of the decisions that he has recently made and I've given him until the end of the season to rectify some of his faults. It is interesting to hear another perspective rather than the usual 'One Arsene Wenger,' and I do agree with certain faults that the manager has made and after a few years of being patient with the lack of spending to get the debt down I think this is the time to start spending on the team as we're close to having a very strong squad that can challenge on all fronts and it just requires a bit of tweaking and I understand the frustration of certain posters and I personally have found it hard to 'Keep The Faith' with the fear of deja vu from last season and in 07/08. However the level of insults at people who disagree with you and calling the manager a *word censored* is bit ridiculous imo, I've been guilty of it on a couple of occasions (I do think on one occasion, though, it was justified considering that poster's nonsense had put me off being a regular on here for a while) and I do think people need to chill out and just remember that we're all gooners here but some of us have different opinions

Fact
Last home game for a while for me as I am bored of watching home league games. Lets hope it’s a good one.
3.0 arsenal…
Firstly, it isnt fact is it....if we lose and united win we still arent out of it, if we draw we are even less so, and if Villa get something then the same applies...its February 1st....do you realise how long there is to go?
and your comment that follows sums you up and is the reason why its best you dont bother going...'bored of home leasgue games' in a season where we are fighting for the title you are bored of it...yeah brilliant supporter, absolute waste of time, im glad you arent going, someone who will enjoy it and support the team can go instead
as for tonight 2-1 Gunners....Van Persie and Bendtner

glad I don't go to home games anymore. full of JCL's and the like...
As for Arshaving not needing a rest, I am sure hte commentator on Sunday said that he had palyed in more games than any other player this season! I was surprised and frankly can't be bothered to check.

I do the aways rather than the homes. Does that make me less of a fan? Swale have you ever considered money constraints or being constantly told to shut up when I sing/swear by some stupid plastic/JCL/*word censored* steward and hence why some of us stick to the much more fun away games?

Well Swale if your going tonight come and find me. I am in row 24 seat 169 block 6. I stand behind Steven Gallagher so you cant miss me.
If you mean someone else going like a *word censored* like you who sings Arsene give us a wave then yeh you can hire my season ticket , you will fit right in.
I will sell my many of home tickets and only go away , that’s because I can. Would rather support the team when they play away. I am sick of the atmosphere at the grove and the idiot sheep fans who love to see Wenger wave and then start olay!!!!
I am sick and tired of giving arsenal my money full stop. I don’t need a jumped up prick like you telling me I shouldn’t go. I decided already that I would start selling home games as I am fed up with watching half hearted performances at home.
Don’t need an idiot like you today mate. I don’t start giving you abuse when you praise le boss. That’s your choice so you should respect my fucking choice.
As I said come and find me tonight. Though your probably not going are you

Brilliant, that's my anti-social text message sorted for the night then.
