Rosicky not Diaby

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Then you'd be a selfish prick, too!

Diaby put his selfish need for retribution ABOVE the needs of his team mates and Arsenal football club - and that is totally unacceptable.

After all the chances and all the support he's been given by Wenger and Arsenal, and that's how he repays them??? - bloody selfish!
I take it both Bergkamp and Viera are selfish pricks too?

Both were sent off for reacting to provocation.

:?

Not sure what the relevance of you naming 2 legends is, as it's irrelevant who it is - selfish behaviour is selfish behaviour regardless of whether you're a legend or not, surely?

In any case, I can't answer your question because I'm not sure which incidents you're refering too. But, yes - I can certainly remember Vieira not acting in the best interests of the team on occasions, and that's selfish, isn't it?

I have no problem with Diaby at all, so I have no reason to hold double standards - so if Bergkamp or Vieira behaved like Diaby did yesterday, then yes it's obviously still selfish behaviour.

We all know how the rules work, and Diaby guaranteed himself a red card by acting the way he did. I don't accept "heat of the moment" as a valid excuse, and I feel he was selfish.

And just to be clear, I'm saying Diaby was a selfish prick for the way he behaved yesterday - I'm NOT saying he's always a selfish prick... That would be a rather odd statement to make.

Im glad Diaby stood up to them kunts, im glad he made Barton look like a little school kid, and the n made Nolan shit his pants after. Diaby has now suffered THREE leg breaking challenges on him, at Sunderland the damage was done, Paul Robinson earlier on this season and now Barton on him, if i was Abou i would be seriously fucking pissed off. If Nolan had rightly been sent off for forearm smashing chesney then we would have easily seen that game out. The decision for the second penalty was completely un explainable.

I say fair play Diaby.. Looking at the weekend, point gained on United.

Nah thats rubbish mate. I'd rather have gained the extra two points on united than have diaby prove a point against someone everyone knows is a complete tosser.

Make no mistake, Diaby cost us two points yesterday. Had he stayed on, Newcastle wouldn't have had the encouragement to come back and it wouldn't have happened, simple as that.

Don't get me wrong, it was an awful challenge yes, but he's got to be mature and smart enough to think about the good of the team. If we were to finish a point or two behind united that stupid reaction would have cost us the league. Is it worth it just to prove some kind of point to Barton or Nolan? No chance.

Erm, Wozza - what are you talking about? :?

No, he just guaranteed himself a sending off by playing into Barton's hands and retaliating. That's not "standing up to them", that's just idiotic!

If he wanted to make Barton think twice, he should have put in a few strong tackles himself - not deny himself that opportunity by getting a needless sending off.

Erm, how? Barton put in a tough tackle, then was clever enough to ALLOW Diaby to manhandle him... do you REALLY think Barton was being bullied by Diaby? of course not! Barton allowed Diaby to grab him by the neck and made no attempt to stop him... he also went down very easily when Diaby pushed him, and that was Barton's CHOICE... not Diaby's immense strength, I assure you!

Diaby fell for Barton's gamesmanship hook, line and sinker, I'm afraid!

Again, wtf?

I saw Nolan run over to get involved, and when Nolan turned his back, Diaby pushed him hard... at which point, rather that "shitting himself", he turned round and angrily berated Diaby.

Nolan didn't look scared to me, mate :? and, as he could probably knock Diaby into next week if he wanted, I'm not sure why he would shit himself either! :?

Agree with g88ner, how can anyone honestly believe Diaby made Barton “look like a schoolboyâ€
