rosicky new deal

What is it, 1 goal and about 3 assists in a year? Shocking stats for a "creative" midfielder. Still, here's a new contract for ya! :?

The only shock in that story is the thought that he is planning to give out these new deals in a bid to stave off interest in these players from our rivals  What the fcuk would these clubs want with rosicky, an injury prone and largely unproven djouru and even a defensively questionable clichy ? :?
Wengerworld really is a bizarre place
Hardly a shock at all - why should the club pay a top new player 100K when it can pay Rosicky 75K. What sense would that make? Oh yeah we might win things, but since winning things might cost us money and lower our share price why would we consider that?
Then why haven't we should Cesc already?
I dunno why haven't we should him?

But we haven't sold him yet for two reasons -

1) Until this year it was at best uncertain we had any ready-made replacement in the team to save some money

2) They don't want to sell too many big names too fast because then they can;'t avoid these questions anymore.

:coffeespit:

Oh martin can you explain to me, how spending money on players will lower our share price, can you give me some examples of this happening at other spending clubs?????

I agree, the way he throws his shirt into the crowd at the end of the game is there for all to see, another extended contract coming his way, also.

It's worth the admission into the ground on it's own, the sad thing is the majority of the crowd miss it through leaving early.... It's their loss, imo.. :? :?

As a right back he was superb in my opinion, espeically during our champs league run to the final. Was never going to be an overnight transition to a midfielder and I find he does fairly well wherever he plays. 2nd rate right back my arse.

The thing that amazes me the most is the fact that the *word censored* manages to fucking hit the crowd with it.

Watson, not having a pop but Comedy Eboue is a personal bug bear for me. He is a diver, a cheat, an actor and a gobshite. He insults the great jersey of our great club. He was an average to good right back in that CL run (back in 2006 - 5 years ago) but now he is an average at best replacement right back, but anything he brings to that position is overshadowed by his continuous diving, feigning injury and constant whining at the ref after every little bit of contact. He is the only player in our glorious history that I have actually hated and despised. He is scum.

Hope that explains my feelings clearly, mate!
