A new medical team
A new fitness coach
A new CB...Cahill and Distan (33 years old but a veteran)
A new CM maybe 2 if Cesc shoots off
A new striker...coz we all know Walcott and RvP wont go a spell without getting injured.
My wish is that we spend 15 million plus on one WORLD class player to show intent preferably a central defender who can head the ball. Otherwise whats the point.
Knew CB to replace squid, a first choice central defensive midfielder, 2 speedy wingers who can cross & a striker who can play on his own, but has ability to finish.
Players I have in mind would be Cahill, Parker, Hazard.
I don't think there is too much wrong with the squad, doesn't need a reshape from top to bottom but there is something that is lacking that doesn't take us up to the next level
The likes of Almunia, Fabianski, Squillaci Denilson, Diaby, Rosickly and Bentdner need to move on. They have had countless chances in the team and have failed. In comes Bartley, Lansbury, Ramsey and Emmanuel Thomas as a replacement.
A decent backup and experienced goalkeeper is signed as backup to Chesney. A new centre back is also brought in (preferably English who wont take a year to settle) and a striker whos only got goals on his mind and someone to play when Van Persie is missing for two thirds of the season. These are three players and one of them a relatively cheap backup goalkeeper!....Wenger of course wont do this
If Vermaelen recovers I'd like to see Djourou given a run. I think he's finally starting to look confident and he's decent on the ball (and taller than 5'7").
Definitely need wide players. Ashley Young? I know he's English but don't discount him just for that. He could cover both sides of the pitch.
Def. Mid is essential, but not sure who.
One quality signing and a couple of good back-ups shouldn't be asking too much because we'll struggle in the league with Bendtner, Denilson etc as cover when RvP and Theo spend their usual three months in treatment.
