It's not illegal. As Irish Gooner says, how can a word be illegal?!

Frowned upon in certain quarters maybe, but definitely not illegal. Just another bullshit lie made up by those trying to sanitise the game.

Like "washing" in France - not illegal, but frowned upon.

Irishgooner - while words may not be illegal in Oireland, racism is. There was a famous case in Dublin a few years ago where a white Dubliner called a black Nigerian guy the "N" word after a near miss at a traffic lights. Two off duty cops overheard it and arrested him for racist abuse. The guy was fined.

Agree with the view if they call themselves the **** army , and sing chants like "jermain defoe, y***", then the word is fair game for anyone else to use.
Also agree that the lets kick it out campaign has served its purpose now. I have not seen any overtly open racism at any game for quite a while now, but certainly not in the last 5 years. In fact I think their campaigns actually serve to stirring up racism where none is present, Its almost as if they are trying to manufacture an outpouring of commendation as so they can act upon it and justify their existence. How do they even get their funding anyway? My taxes no doubt *sorry for going a bit daily mail at the end*
