How to make sense of Nasri situation

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Nasri, as the rest of the players, are sick of Wenger promising to be "active in the transfer market" and almost always coming up short of his promises ...look too familiar to the situation Fabregas was in last summer, what did Wenger promise him...to get him to stay?
they both see the team isn't good enough at defense to win anything.
EVERY game we need to get up at least 2 goals to make sure we got the game in the bag...oh wait, or is it 3?

radford just despairs at this type of post. nasri a player who took two seasons to get going then gave use 4 months of end product. then when the going got tough he disappeared. now he wants more money. you could not make it up.

In the most crucial time of season, who didn't have a dreadful showing, besides RVP and wilshire in our attacking? Not even Fabregas showed up, and I feel he's had his worst season with the club. I dont believe Nasri's going anywhere, and if he did, we would suffer a massive headache replacing him this summer..

radford agrees but nasri failed when it mattered most and he is the one seeking a bigger contract. radford find that players who fail have no right to ask for an increase. it just makes him sick

How people see the logic of Wenger's transfer dealings is beyond me. It is fucking the Club. It is actually threatening the Club's financial stability. We are playing players big money to stay in a team that won't win trophies. If we were winning trophies, I reckon our wage bill would actually be lower.
Wenger is fucking the club up period. The board are too far up his arse to see it.

He fucked Monaco up too, that's why they sacked him.

If Wenger is still here in 2014, I'm willing to bet that we'll long have become a midtable side.
The longer we don't win trophies, the more money we need to pay players to stay, whilst at the same time forgoing prize money and less lucrative sponorship deals.

This is not the Board at work, This is Wenger's doing. Any businessman worth his salt would see the problems with Wenger's acceptance of mediocrity. It costs the Club on the pitch and off of it.

Just watch Kroenke put his foot down in the next 12 months.... He will not take any shite from Wenger.
I hate to say it because I'd love to see a Yank do well by Arsenal, but he's been on the Board for about the last three years and I haven't heard one report of him questioning anything.

Sorry Frank but thsi sounds like more excuse making for the money men at the club, more give them achnce - well we have given them chance after chance the last six years to back all their money is available talk, we want to win prizes talk, and second place isn't good enough talk and where has it gotten us?

Your first paragraph however is bang-on. Too bad no one at the Club sees this.

Ok, lets put the 3 years down to him winning the trust of the shareholders to the point where he could gain control. He was showing patience.

From a US perspective though what do you think his next move will be? How hands on is he in his other sporting interests? Will Hill-Wood stay for the longer term? Do you think he'll invest in the playing side.....or be happy to keep things running as they are?
