Looks like we dodged a bullett

Maybe he didn't feel he was mentally or physically prepared for the meeting or perhaps had the handbrake on when booking his flight.

Let's hope he recovers and is focused for when Utd want a meet.

Maybe his father put down the Arsene FC brochure and decided to check things out for himself, quickly realised that it's a load of bollocks Arsene FC turn kids into superstars and said: 'Joel, they're a bunch of jokers son'

Probably turned off by the fact that comes from a place with the word Cost in it.

Not when you read what his club says. Maybe look into that first.

Pretty sure Wilshere would disagree with you. Ramsey would probably shout you down and i've got a feeling Gibbs would give a good arguement. Not superstars before you say anything but they have improved massively since playing for us. I'm pretty sure I wont here about this kid again. Then again i'm still peed we missed out on Macheda

The funny thing is, if we had signed him we would all be moaning saying "one for the future" "he'll be great for c palace"
Now we haven't signed him we are devastated  That's what makes this place a fucking lunatic asylum   :barscarf:

My understanding is his club said they were happy to flog him but that the player himself and his old man wanted to go a bigger club, hence ruling us out.

From what I view, his club see Arsenal as the best place for him to develop where as his father wants a shit load of cash. United are only 'rumoured' to be interested. Take your anti-Wenger hat off, for young players there is no better club.

Wilshere I'll give you obviously, we nicked Ramsey from Cardiff when he was 18, didn't come thru our academy and Gibbs has a lot to prove yet at any level.

Wilshere you can have and I'll give you Ashley Cole, name me one other player in the 15 yrs of Wenger's fabled youth policy that has made it?

Dont think anyone is devastated. Its a sign of the times that this kid has turned us down. Arsenal apparently the 'best club in the world for developing youth' which we all knew was bollocks but it seems others are starting to see it now!!!
