Djourou is shite!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

What have Squillaci / Koscielny / Djourou got in common??

1. Your spell checker says "what the f**k have you just typed?"

2. Premier League forwards piss themselves when they see their names on our team sheet.

3. Arsene Wenger brought them all to the Club and he alone thinks they are good enough for a team that wants to win major trophies.

Djourou is shite but never forget who keeps picking him!! :banghead:

Although i dont rate the player at all i dont ever get on the players backs at the game. That is the only 90 mins i can truely stay positve for.

I have to say I think Squillaci is one of the worst centre halves I've ever seen in the red and white. In my time of watching the only ones I can remember that are worse have been Caesar and Stepanovs. Yet, with a free hand to purchase a centre half last year that is who the GIC chose to recruit and paid around €5m for the useless prick too.

All of which tells me that this year's centre half selection will be the four that we have + Jenkinson ("Carl can play there too" - his pearl of wisdom in yesterday's programme notes)

No Samba, No Jagielka, No Cahill.....No chance

And with those clowns plus the Three Stooges in goal still waiting as replacements to Brentford's finest, I would not be at all surprised to see us lose the CL qualifier. Put simply I can not see us keeping a clean sheet against anyone, anywhere.

Martin Keown on ESPN was pretty hard on Djourou and rightly so. He also gave a really impassioned and well thought out argument about the problems on the defence.

I think it's fair to say based upon the evidence of many seasons, that Wenger cannot sort this problem out. His willingness to go into another season with Squilacci at the club (whether 5 or 15th choice) is testament to that.

I would argue that we concede a high number of goals, compared to the possession we allow other teams. Unfortunately, that possession tends to mean nothing as it is more often ponderous and without purpose.

never heard of Pascal Cygan?
Or even worse - Igor Stephanovs!!! :banghead: :banghead:  Funny how all of them have been signed by that great talent spotter Arsene Wenger... :rubchin:
Couldn't put it better myself, the clown couldn't spot a defender if one ran over and pissed in his face!

If we start the season with Gibbs, kos, tv and sagna he should be sacked on the spot!!

No, I think he meant he saw he posted this, which doesn't make sense.

This guy is a a disgrace and needs to go NOW!

That was the most embarrassing CB performance with Koshitty I've EVER SEEN from the club.

The defence were strangers and all struggled with an unfamiliar defensive midfield in front of them.

"Who coaches them" is a pertinent a question as who should we buy?
