Very good player in his first season until New Year's.

Then he was out for a bit, officially the reason given was "fatigue", then since his return has been dreadful.

I think us fans deserve an explanation because something is clearly going on with him.

See I would agree with this - the guy did very well for us in the first few months of last season and all the fans were raving about him and suggesting that if we had of signed him the previous jan he could have won us the league. Something has caused a massive downturn in his performance and I would like to know if it is down to a genuine lack of ability or something off the pitch

Was Chamakh on the pitch last night? Did he touch the ball? Must have missed it.
The bust of Herbert Chapman moves about more than him.

And considering they both speak the same language, him and Gervinho didn't have a clue waht the other was doing.

I agree Augie. Something is missing here. I seen this happen in business, and there is usually another factor involved. However if RVP is out for a while this season, I see us having extreme difficulties in scoring enough goals to win matches. :x

IMO it's the revelations/rumours about his personal life that is getting to him

Maybe it has been mentioned on here before, but I heard a rumour that he is gay, and that he is in a relationship with that djorkaef (spelt wrong) and that he is homesick and missing his bum buddy.

Agree he's useless but I think the Rosicky bashing this season is totally unfair he's been one or if not our best player in both the e*****s and the first two games. Ok his legs can't last 90 mins anymore but he's done nothing wrong in my book for the hour or so he has played in both games

Admittedly im only young but that is by far the worst centre-forward performance i have ever seen from an Arsenal player. Anybody remember any worse?

No, he was okay at Newcastle but very poor yesterday. He didn't make himself available and just let our midfield be rolled over. We improved when Frimpong came on, not so much as he is a superstar (but he might become one) more that we had soemone putting himself about a bit in the middle of the park. Rosicky just hides when it gets tough.

Chamakh was a complete non-entity last night. He was so bad you could argue we'd have been better playing with ten men.

Chamakh has all the pace of a crippled slug, the shooting boots of John Hawley and the presence of the invisible man !

He fits right in !

Are you serious? So he's not done anything wrong so that's fine? He is the most experienced midfielder on the pitch for us and yet he's contributing nothing! He just runs around the pitch doing not a lot! Rosicky totally sums up Arsenal these days, very average and very ineffective.

We’re unbeaten! and have 2 clean sheets! and we’re supposedly in a bit of a crisis!

I hope we end up like man utd last season, when everyone was saying they were playing rubbish, they had average players… but they still ended up winning (sometimes with a lot of luck) with a togetherness and fighting spirit.

I am concerned about Chamahk though, what has happened to him since last january?? is he injured? is it really a lack of confidence? motivation? Wenger really needs to find out because we know he can be good… but last night, and for most of the last few months, he has looked stoned when on the pitch.

To be fair, Dalgleish can't really laugh about much, he's probably still recovering from Aguero showing him what a £35m player actually looks like, the mags had his pants down and fucked him up the arse when they sold him Carroll for that much

I don't think so. He was already shit during pre-season games. Maybe we should sell Chamakh and keep Bendtner.
