No - my biggest fear for this coming season is a Civil War amongst Arsenal fans.

In one camp are the Wenger supporters and in the other camp are those that want him gone, with the two opinions becoming so polarised that there is little common ground left. This would be a tragedy but from the atmosphere in the ground for the last few matches and from reading the comments in the main Gooner website, I think the seeds have already been sown and that is the direction we are heading.

We've all heard reports of heated arguments in the ground and some of these turning into physical confrontation - all from fans that support the same team. I never thought I'd see this inside what I've always found to be a friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming crowd.

I am seriously worried as to how this season will develop as there doesn't seem to be anything or anyone on the horizon that will re-unite all of us. I sincerely hope I'm wrong but I believe that this could be a really ugly season, both on and off the pitch.
Good Post Mate! :high5:

1. I would suggest that there are those (like myself) who - and I am NOT a rosetinter/AKB...But I am aware that this situation is not entirely of his making...for me ..Wenger (yes he DOES have his flaws) but he is an Honourable person in what is now an industry/business that is all about profit being put abve and before the "Beautiful Game" by owners & players..and he is refusing to compromise his morale stand point - and I am with him on that - let's face it the world is up (Financial/Enviromental) shyte creek with a hole in the canoe ( no not kanu!? ) and no paddle... - furthermore he has been stabbed in the back by (sorry hope USmartin doesn't see this) The Board....they have continually (for 6 seasons) told us there is money - But there has not been anywhere near the amounts available they claimed there were....AND SO Yes, I want signings...I want players like Arshavin and Walcott (and if he stays Billy Big Bollocks) to be played in their natural/preferred positions....But I am also aware that I don't want my Arsenal to be sold down the fecking swanny like scumchavs and manure - The global finacial situation is only going to get worse - profit margins can only go so high - then CRUNCH!...and Wenger knows this - hence he has kept his powder dry and not 'told it like it is' - loyalty to both parties - with regards the scum board....I DO want those cuntss PHW out! I want Wenger to stay, because I think he can turn this around and bring back the good times..he has shown he can win trophies for us - He can do it again...Besides who on earth could take over "Successfully"...???????

2. I think the polarisation of Arsenal fans is due in no small way to Media Manipulation and the Witch Hunt they are carrying out on Wenger...remember what they did to Eduardo....they were all over him with 'sympathy(sic)' when he had his leg shattered (and his career btw) and then after the celticscum incident - They ripped him to pieces....So it is for US to re-unite ourselves....The Passions are on HIGH at the moment.....yes, we are all concerned/worries/sleepless some of us...But, I think Wenger will pull through on this...whether he will ever re-gain the trust and respect of Gooners again...well we shall have to see...But I don't want to be part of the media Witch Hunt - and allow my own 'Values and Beliefs' be usurped by those bunch of EvilFuckers...

WE ARE THE RED & WHITE ARMY - WE ARE THE ARSENAL - End Of.

Bring in Keown as no 2, with a defensive theme to his role.

listen, i spent 80 minutes backing the team saturday and dare i say starting the majority of chants all day including the already mentioned "good ol' Arsenal" on 3-4 occasions.

if the akb's can sing "one arsene wenger" in support of him then fair play to them. They pay £985 and are entitled to shout support of im.

So why then am i not allowed to shout "spend our fucking money" or even "wenger out". i did not shout that last one but i pay the same £985 as they do so....?

The same old saying keeps coming up...

wait till the windows shut before slating him.
or
who else is there?

firstly, i've bought that one for 6 years straight now and have heard enough.
secondly, any fucking one else that will address our weaknesses.

there was a lot of shit slung my way by large sections of block 6 on saturday and tbh i couldnt really give a shit.
At least be fucking grown up enough to hear me out when i come and approach you at FT.
every one of the verbalists walked away when i tried to explain why my view is different to theirs.
yet, apparently, im the one in the wrong.

same time, same place next time boys. my views havent changed and im willing to discuss, back them up whenever/wherever you like.Or you can just shout c*nt from behind 20 other people and fuck off home.

Was this written in complete jest OneBard? Cos if so, fair play to ya!
If you were actually being serious though, how easy is it to expose what a fallacy this is??

Arsene, the moral compass of football. So football is all about 'profit above all else'.

Is that why Wenger has made mroe profit for the greedy rich bastards on the board than any manager in the league?

Is that why Wenger negotiated a super-quick megabucks deal for himself on £6.5 mil a year? What happened to his morality then?

Is that why Wenger, with his moral compass, has overseen a wage bill of £114 million for some of the biggest carefree mercenaries in the league?

He won't compromise his 'moral standpoint'. Which 'moral' standpoint would this be then? The one whereby he consistently lies to supporters? The one where he openly disrespects those paying hsi ridiculous wages?

Don't be ridiculous please. Ta.

this board is the only place I've seen these amazing £6m-£7M figures for Wenger's wages
where do those numbers come from?

So what price would you put on a potential champs league knockout on wednesday ? What price would you put on a failure to finish top 4 this season ? We stand to lose a lot more money directly if wenger remains in charge than it would cost to get shot of him and by that I am not even including the major drop off we will experience in sponsorship money when/if we fail to make the champs league

I genuinely don't know how long Wenger's contract is or how much he is paid
I am 90% of the time against firing managers mid contract
whoever we got in now I doubt they would do significantly better with Wengers players

you think firing him now would increase our chances on Weds?

Good shout.

What really is frustrating ALL Gooners (though we deal with it in different ways) is the lack of action from the club. All we hear are excuses, that we have to forget about the last game and that things are not as bad as they seem.

Not at one point over the last six years have the club stood up and told us that they are going to take action to rectify things. If the club announced the changes you mentioned and admitted things over the last 6 years have not been good enough that would be way better than any 40m signing we could ever make.

My jaw hit the floor and I just looked back at the morons in disbelief. When the whistle went we both went up to the idiots and duffman basically confronted the ring leader while I watched his mates slowly walk away. The guy muttered fuck off and walked quickly off, we followed him out and he said he didn’t want to talk to us and shit himself.
I dont agree with Herd very often but you didnt cover yourself with glory chasing people who sing songs you dont like around the block Mikey :?
