Honestly, he should have been sacked at the end of the 2009/2010 season...
He decimated what was a very promising 2007/8 side, he had 2 seasons to repair that and went backwards in both seasons, team wise..I don't think we really needed to let him have another season on top of that to further dilute the talent pool and certainly not another 2 seasons as is going to be the case now...

If we are between 4th and 6th in the prem by Xmas, which i think is most likely, the cheque book will be wielded through fear of missing CL qualification, and we'll probably buy one or two players of quality that we should have already bought this summer, so his job will be safe til the end of the season...
If we are lower than 6th at Xmas, which is possible, he will either walk due to fan pressure or he will be pushed by Stan...who will look at it from a purely commercial point of view and know Wenger has long since lost the midas touch and it's time for him to go...
As opposed to the he is Arsenal, Arsenal would be nothing without him, he can do no wrong, we can't let him go way of looking at Wenger that the more long standing members of the board have....

I'm going with the thought that he has untill the end of the transfer window to get the players in to strengthen the squad, otherwise sack him then and lets get a manager who can rally the side and get some tactical flair injected.

Yeah I know it's unlikely... :(

And I have just heard we are looking at Benayoun... someone kill me now... :banghead:

England mate, why do you ask? I wish I had voted for Wenger to go now in hindsight. FML. :banghead:

I can't remember who made this comparison, I think it was on the match thread but Ashley Young cost £16 million, and we pay £15 million for A.O-C
That was me.
I just can't understand how anyone could argue that Oxo cube was a better signing for us now than Ashley Young would have been.

The problems go way deeper at Arsenal than just not spending money on the right players, thats why I think Wenger has to be sacked immediately, letting him spend money now is just a waste and will land us with the wrong players. But more than that, Wenger is not capable of changing formation/tactics etc. He plays 4-3-3, as do the reserve sides. Totally inflexible with everything he does, it's Wengers way only. I'm just stunned how the board and more to the point - Kroenke, lets this happen.
I should have known is was you mate, agree with what you've added also, but let's face it, who on the board knows anything about football? As long as the cash keeps on coming in (although this could dry a little with ticket sales this season) they're happy.

Sack him now.

Forget about this season, it's gone. The transfer window is almost over and the only peopple coming in are 'squad players'... meaning that giving this many money will only bring in more potential deadwood that we will have trouble shiting later.

Every time he has said 'judge me in may' and he has said that AGAIN this season, but what does that actually mean? because for the last seasons his verdict has come out GUILTY and yet nothing has happened apart from the team getting worse, so what's the point of judging? It's only a tool for AKB's to deflect the issues and say 'wait till the end of the season and see what Arsene can do'. Well it's all bollocks and there is no point to it.

Sack him now before he damages the club even more and bring in someone that can salvage a top four finish from the current lot and start amends in the january and summer windows... like I said, this season's a write off.

I did have some other thoughts on Sunday's game though, perhaps Wenger put that team out on purpose, Sagna ill, hmmm also TV, there was no news of any injury after the Udinese game, just a different thought, it may also explain the 'refund', they've never done anything like that before, by the way, I'm not backing Wenger when I suggest this, just looking at it with a different slant.. :?
