Arsenal Stewards

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

I am a Gooner of 30 plus years
I am a steward in club level
I love my club
I have never frisked anyone for money when they leave the ground
I go to practically every away game as a bona fida Gooner
I am not a *word censored*
I am not a Hitler
I hate it whenall stewards are tarnished with the same brush
People here slag stewards off all the time but NEVER ever commend or respect good stewards.
I am proud to be a steward
I am proud to be a Gooner
And i am aware that some people are not doing the job to the satisfaction of some of you......
But really, give us a wee break...we aint all wankers...we on the whole love the club as much as the pundit.....

Sammy you're a top bloke and I imagine you're a decent steward. Whereabouts are you in CL I might pay you a visit at one HT to claim my free Coke?

I've met some at games who are clearly there as fans, who are understanding and tbh get better results, and some who are officious little wankers who seem to take pleasure in making fans suffer (Baldy in Club Level North is a prime example. Sami among others will know him)

I used to use my mate's ST's up in Club Level and Sammy was one of the head stewards up there and he was solid. We were beside the Sky box. Cashley's first game back at the Conglomerates and he was handing out Cashley banknotes and trying to get the corporate deadbeats up there to chant and sing. That area had a few proper fans but alot of very quiet corporate too. And Sammy was trying to get them involved. Sound lad.

The night we drew 4-4 with the scum Jamie Redkrapp was jumping around in the Sky box like a retard on acid after their 4th goal and a good few of the actual real Arsenal fans up there took exception to it, but the Stewards handled it well. They just asked people to calm down a bit and didn’t start throwing their weight around and people responded to that and calmed down. Not sure if you were there that night Sammy but what could have descended into a free for all punch up was handled very well. Hilariously Redkrapp looked like he was going to shit himself when he saw the response around the Sky box.

My mate now has ST’s in the NB upper and the local Steward there is a total arsehole, constantly screaming for people to sit down and threatening to throw people out for the slightest thing. He threatened to throw out one of the regulars on here that was using the other ST beside me one time for basically nothing.

Hitler Gobshite.

So like all walks of life, you get the good and the bad and it is unfair to tar all with the same brush.

"Solid" in Dublin means "sound" or "good". Shall I tell you what "Boomer" means in Dublin? :-P
