We are a big club with a small club mentality.

Difficult to define, as for me there are all types of levels of big club. We're a big Club, but we're under-achieving big-time. Our ambitions AT THE MOMENT are not those of a big club, but just because we've under-achieved for 5 years doesn't erase 60 years of being a big club.

I think Babs is also confusing Big Club with Elite Club. For me the elite clubs in the world are as follows:

Man United
Liverpool
Barcelona
Real Madrid
AC Milan
Bayern Munich
Inter Milan

Are we part of the all-time elite big clubs....... no.

We're on the next rung, which I would say includes

Arsenal
Chelsea
Man City (due to the money)
Benfica
Juventus
Atletico Madrid

The simple answer, like i said before is yes we are a big club.

But we're definitely not getting bigger.

I see us in a simular boat as :-

Everton, Villa, Newcastle, Spu*ds, Liverpool and Leeds. All big clubs really, most have got good history but all laking trophies now which means less support worldwide which means the they're all going backwards.

Teams that are going forward:-

Man City, for sure.
Man Utd, just keep doing it time and time again they could probably fill 100k a week at OT.
Chelsea were never a big club to go backwards, so i'd say they're only getting bigger too.

We're trying so hard to be a big Club off the pitch, that we've forgotten how to be a big Club on the pitch. And once you stop competing on the pitch, everyone forgets you.

ARSE ABOUT FACE IS THE SAYING.

In the sense we're all big clubs going backwards, we're in the same boat.

Club size, yes we are the biggest out of them.

And don't call me a cu*t again....you cu*t.

Of course we are a big club. Were United suddenly not a big club when they won enarly fuck all for 26 years? History and stature plus fan base dictate the size of a club. Anyone who think we're not is an idiot

    what a mental idea for a thread. Of course Arsenal are still a big club for fucks sake. Only the worst of the sky boys would decide a club who is statistically one of the most successful clubs in England who have been winning trophies for decades and who regularly attract around 60,000 to home games isnt "big" anymore after a few seasons without a trophy

Fucking hell, even Leeds United are still a big club and they've only won the top flight 3 times, got one FA Cup and were recently in league 1.
