Out of interest, what players has Dein brought in to the club?Norfolk_Gooner1 wrote: Agreed, It's Deins job and nobody thanks him when he brings someone into the club.

I would argue it is not incredible at all, but very regular.rodders999 wrote:I agree Norfolk, it's just that it seems incredible than any one agent could be involved in 4 high profile transfers out of a club (which will be rise to 6 with RVP and Song next summer). Can't remember anything like that happening before at any club.
As I posted before, look at the individual reasons for the transfers, not the amount of transfers.
Secondly, if word gets round that an agent is good at negotiating, players will want to use that agent. Players at the same club generally talk to each other. So word has got around about Dein.
Thirdly, players at the same club often have the same agent, as clubs tend to use the same agents over and again if that agent is considered to be efficient by the owner i.e. Dein and Anderson at Arsenal, Zahavi at Chelsea etc.

How long will it be before szczesny gets fed up to!Rugby Gooner wrote:He will be off as soon as he can, closely followed by Wilshire!!!
There is no loyalty in football anymore.
They will come out with the same shit that Fabregas and Nasri did,ie:We don't have a chance of winning anything at Arsenal,(while coveniently overlooking the fact that they are the fuckers who are failing on the pitch!!!).
Fuck them!!! Go now!!!

'The following passage is taken from Martin Samuel's column in The Daily Mail, so it's not a 'gossip' story in the strictest sense, but it is gossip.
With us? Good. Here it is:
'Van Persie, who will have only a year to run on his contract at the end of this season, is on the radar at Manchester United and is the Arsenal player Sir Alex Ferguson most admires. United think they could get him, too, maybe next summer as an upgrade on Dimitar Berbatov.
'These are still inner sanctum musings, not firm plans, but evidence would suggest United are correct in assuming vulnerability. Just as Arsenal blinked first over Nasri rather than lose him for nothing, the club may have to sell Van Persie if he refuses to sign'a new contract. A move to United would appeal to their captain, too. And another one bites the dust.'
Crivens.
Martin Samuel in the Daily Fail today.
Still think he will end up at Citeh, our parent club.

Let's forget what he has or hasn't said for a minute and look at the facts.
His contract expires in 2013, so why the fuck would he start re-negotiating it in 2011 ? Nothing unusual about that.
Have players had 18-24 months left on their contract before and re-signed - loads of times. Have there been instances where they haven't re-signed - loads of times. So nobody knows what will happen.
Now, things to worry about:
1. We have the most utterly useless commercial negotiating team I have ever had the misfortune to stumble across. So it wouldn't surprise me if they fucked the whole thing up Nasri / Flamini style..
2. Are we likely to contribute to his pending departure by failing to sign players of the required quality - yes. Four Summers in a row of constant failed promises aren't masked by a handful of deadline day signings that still saw the club reap a handsome net profit. So if January 2012 passes without investment (where we all know the prizes are "dizzying" zzzzzzzzz.....) it will mean we reach Nasri-point, where the guy has 12 months left on the deal, and can take his pick of several clubs. At that point we'll still be laying on the beach while our rival clubs sign the cream of European talent, and Arsenal's scouting network are busy finding the next 15 year old sensation in League One.
So, his comments mean nothing. The actions of our owners and management team will mean everything.
What I don't get is the "who cares if he goes" attitude. Personally I'd like to see our one remaining world class player stay at the club before he gets replaced by next season's leading scorer from Ligue Deux
