The Club can confirm that Bacary Sagna sustained a fracture to the fibula in his right leg during the match against Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon.
Further detailed investigations and assessments will take place on Monday, during which time Bacary will see ankle specialists and the Arsenal medical team regarding the further management of his injury.
It is expected that Bacary will be out for approximately three months and a surgical procedure cannot be ruled out at this stage.
Everyone at the Club wishes Bacary a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him playing again as soon as possible.

We are in deep doo doo !
Sagna was the ONLY good defender we had in the whole back four .
We are truly fucked !
We are truly fucked !
And the loss of our most consistent defender and IMO the best right back in the PL, highlghts yet again the woeful transfer window performance in the Summer from Chief Chump Gazidis (CCG) and the Self Harmer.
So what's the master plan now eh chaps ? A kid who played less than 8 full matches for Charlton and was being farmed out on loan to a team getting relegated from the Blue Square Prem ? Djourou - who gave us a glimpse of the magic we can expect from him in that position at Ewood Park ?
Whether you think its the CCG or the Self Harmer's fault, the fact remains that the collective management of this football club allowed us to enter a 50-odd game season with one recognised right back.
I thought it might actually be physically impossible to sign a worse back-up for Bac than Comedy but we've actually fucking managed to achieve it.
So its sell Eboue, sign Jenkinson. Farm out Bendtner on a season long loan, retain Chamakh...but hey we've signed Park. If RvP gets a long term injury now then we are royally fucked.
Worst squad we have had since 1995. Undoubtedly
