Adebayor Togo Song.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I won't join in and singing Nasri is a cúnt, because he ain't - Nasri leaving says more about our club than him

i expect RVP to get the same abuse, when he leaves
No chance. Unless he goes to Sp*rs or possibly Chelsea RVP will get applauded when he comes back as he actually gave his all for Arsenal over a number of years.

That was one of the lowest points of yesterday, listening to that coming from our fans. As for Adebayor I'd have sung it had I been there.

My dislike of Adebayor is because of the way he left, not because he left.
He slouched around in his last season with us, collecting high wages and putting in low effort.

I would not sing the song, it is in poor taste.

If you sing the song, then you cannot complain about Spur's songs directed at Wenger. Either have a bit of decency, or not.

Call me old fashioned, but I prefer the humour chants

"Same old jumper" at Clough etc.

Great "humour chant" at Bulgaria v England last month. We were kept behind for about half an hour and there were two blokes pushing a camera on wheels which sparked the chant "two man job", very funny in the circumstance.

I found it funny tbh. I don't really care what gets sung at a Derby, there's always a very nasty atmosphere.

The hypocrisy redknapp showed was unbelievable though... Similar to living in a society but not contributing to its upkeep!

For the record I agree:

It should have been him. (sic who died on the coach)

Storm in a teacup comes to mind. Yes it was chanted, by myself included. At the end of the day I don't honestly wish it was him that was killed - I'm not that fucking worked up over the fact he left us for citeh. So fucking what? It was more to get him wound up although to be fair to him he didn't take the bait.

Who gives a shit? It's a derby. Oppo fans sing about Wenger the paedo at every away game - nothing is ever said about that.

It's the NLD for Bergkamp's sake  :banghead:

  Yeah that was funny. The fucking scum in the upper tier behind the goal found their voices during the half time interval, but they were soon slapped down by the upper tier gooners too. Well played lads :barscarf:

 Sp*rs trying to take the moral high ground again.

"In line with the club's zero-tolerance policy on abusive chanting, they have also promised to ban any guilty party for life."

They'll have to ban every fan that was in attendence yesterday then!

They really are a bunch of *word censored*.

That is ridiculous, if that is the case then pretty much everyone in the stadium will be banned

Spot on mate. So fucking what, we sang a song.
Of course, we don't wish him dead, its all part of the game to wind him up. I don't give a shit about Adebayor and never give him a thought.
Next it'll be we shouldn't call any player a fat bastard as it will upset him in front of the crowd and will be a slight on his over weight physique.

Too many fucking limp wristed doo gooders in football.

Sorry mate I just don't agree, big difference between calling someone fat and taunting someone about an incident where people actually died.
