Predicted Carling Cup attendance v Bolton

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Sunderland, Stoke and I think West Brom are all on general sale now.

I think the club might be getting the message now.

Thing is they are so isolated at the club it will probably all be put down to the economy rather than the actual cause.

No, it's all down to the recession because Lord Wenger said so. Nothing at all to do with the shite that is put out on the football pitch.

Incidentally, just bought my ticket for the Stoke game. £5 in fees & postage for a paper ticket because it's on GS?! *word censored*! Activate my card! :banghead: :banghead:

Yeah mate! Same thing happened to me for the Bolton match - I nearly shat myself when I realised that I'd already paid for a membership card but they then charged me to send me a paper ticket that I didn't want.

Our great Club is being run by a bunch of money-grabbing imbeciles :banghead: :banghead:

Next 2 league games on general sale - when did that last happen ?! Sign of the times and a worrying trend. This is a truly horrible season!

fixture congestion doesnt help.
we are playing 2 home games in 3 days, 3 in a week

I will go to the Marseille and Bolton games but I am not going to the Stoke game because of that.

of course fixture congestion only occurs when you are a successful team  :D

its not just the mid week CC game, its pretty much all home fixtures. although it looks like the majority of sheep are backing wenger/club they wont part with there money to go watch the predictable shambles.

even if the average attendance all season was ONLY 50,000 that would still mean we were the 2nd best supported club in the country.

don't forget Highbury towards the end only held 38,000.
When it held 60,000 which was I think until about 1990 it was rarely full.

I used to struggle to get any a few seasons back with a red membership, dont recall seeing a PL game going to General sale. i can see this continuing throughout the rest of the season, and i hope it does too.
