Going away in Europe.....

How do you guys get tickets for these away games ? I aint a member of the travel club nor am I a member of the supporters clubs but I am a season ticket holder and would love to go to away games both in europe and in prem league
You already are "away in Europe" and you even pay for things with those funny little euros.... !

On a more serious note though, next time you want away tickets then just come to your uncle MK. Don't let any of the other b*gg*rs on here get their grubby little hands on an easy away match credit!

Europe away works the same way as domestic away games. Most go down to zero credits though.

Only been to a few European aways. Paris obviously.... Milan 0-2, Rome on penalties, Barcelona, Marseille.

Heard a lot of people say that I don't understand it.... We went on the bus which took us down to the beaches and also up to Notre Dam where you get views out to sea and across the city. The city itself was like a hilly, lived in, slightly African version of Paris. I loved it! And yesterday we had the best moule + frite + beer ever in a harbour side restaurant (opposite side to the irish bars). It wasn't as glamourous as Nice and Monaco but 10 times nicer than Eastbourne or Brighton and 100 times nicer than Liverpool or Newcastle! Please don't tell me you hung around the train station or just sat in a bar..... ! Shame on you if you did  !

You do your thing, I'll do mine :mooner:

Yes I hung arund the train station, had no choice really waiting for the return train.

Yes I sat in a bar, several in fact, enjoyed every one of them

Yes I did see the Notre Dame, from a cab, once you've seen one you've seen them all

Did several laps of marseille in various cabs & from what I saw, I wasn't overly impressed..hence the word shit-hole. Place seemed very unclean & the locals we're obnoxious. at least when in Spain & you try a bit of the lingo, they are impreessed that you are at least trying. That lot just looked at you with distain.

Other personal choice european shit-holes that I've followed Arsenal to include Turin,Vigo,Liege &...the biggest of them all , Paris :banghead:

TeeCee was that the Eddie Mcgoldrick cracker at Standard Liege?
My first away day that one in 1993!
Also must of crossed paths a few times looking at that list.
Top man.
As for the Euro away days get organised and go independantly 9 out of 10 times. Research your flights and hotel then worry about the ticket, people will sort you out for the early rounds at least. Unless we draw a glamourous Madrid etc...
Travel club are not getting the numbers now as they are pricing themselves out of the market.
Shame on them.

Only time i've ever gone with the travel club was to Porto in 2010 as bizarrely, it was the cheapest option. They seem to have forgotten that their sole aim should be to get as many supporters to the game as possible, not fleece us for as much cash as they can. But then I guess that's football all round these days...

Worthing - yup, that was the Mcgoldrick cracker :)

I remember that I often saw the same faces on the euro trips. I'd love to know who I was in Kiev with. I was there with my mate and we bumped into about half a dozen random Gooners. We found a bar run by two birds and we sat there all afternoon, drinking beer and Vodka, singing every single Arsenal song at the tops of our voices! The two birds running the place even came round our side of the bar and just stared at us in amazement. I had actually lost my voice completely by the time we got the coach to the stadium in the pouring rain. I don't even know the others guys names but that was a great afternoon!

Years back, I used to go away with a travel firm organised by a gooner - flight options I think it was called ??? - we even went to France '98 with them.

I think they used to advertise in the Standard small ads - a much better way to travel if your mates are not going out too.

I've done many euro aways for less than what it costs me to get to Newcastle, Sunderland, Manchester etc! You've just gotta get flights booked quickly after the draw is made...

Or take the coach to Dover and walk on to the ferry and train it - sometimes you can get pretty far on the French trains without paying, especially the overnight ones , or rent a van at Calais with some mates and bring a sleeping bag lol.
