Chamakh

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Everton fans did say post knee injury arteta is not the same player, he to me, looks like a tidy midfielder, but If we were to buy another midfielder he'd be a squad player.

As for chamakh i didn't rate him, ever. I do not hate him however. He is simply at the wrong club. We need a striker who wants to shoot as well as having the ability to do so. I have never seen this in chamakh. Chamakh is only confident when heading, if he has to use his feet he is woeful.

A bad buy by wenger, how he thought he'd fit into this team is a mystery to me.

Is Park really that bad that he he can't even get a sub appearance?
Good post and there are 2 points to be drawn from this.

1. There is a 'striker' at the club who is afraid of using his feet. This is unheard of for any pub football striker, let alone a CL striker.

2. Choo Young has got to be unbelievably appalling/ghastly to not be able to get a game ahead of Chamakh, even when RVP is rested!

Utter bollocks. My mate supports West Ham and he can't believe Chamakh gets a game for us. He said he wouldn't have him at West Ham ffs.

Come again!!

Perhaps you didn't notice, but he was the bloke with number 29 on his shirt who was running back and forward to close down their centre-halves, winning some good headers against their defence (should have scored, I'll grant you) and dropping off to keep Arsenal in possession. I really don't see why he should be criticised today.
I saw a guy running round the pitch, didn't think he was a footballer. Is he?!?

Something has clearly gone wrong.
Agree.

For him to descend from very good form in his first half season, to suddenly be in abject form ever since, there has to be something other than what we see on the pitch.

Whether it is connected to the Las Vegas Blackmail story that was doing the rounds a while ago I cannot say for sure, as the player was never officially named.

But something has gone on.

I do not accept he was awful at Bordeaux, as he fulfilled an unorthodox but interesting role dropping deep into midfield and linking play.

But even if some believe he was awful there, it remains a fact that he was very good in his first half season with us.

As for Arteta, he is in the Cesc role but not as good. But he is no mug, and deserves time.
He can also play deeper midfield next to Wilshere or Song or Coquelin etc.

It has to be said that the team as a whole has for some time been very poor at running into the box from deep midfield, and so Arteta, or the wide midfielders, or the deep midfielders, will have a hard time of it creating chances.

As Babatunde said, he's missing his boyfriend Gourcuff who made him look decent while at Bordeaux. :sodomite: :gayflag:

I would agree with this, we hugely lack creativity at the minute. But then I suppose any team would miss a player like Fabregas. Whether this is something that can be solved when Jack returns i'm not sure, and we probably won't really find out until next season.

I've mentioned on here before that I thought we should have bought Mesut Ozil two summers ago when he left Werder. We all knew Cesc was gonna go the following year & this would have given Ozil a year to work with Fabregas & learn the ropes. But then of course that would have required us to spend money  :banghead:
This! We could have got him, Madrid didn't offer him anything exceptional. In fact he didn't get in their side to begin with.

Always thought he would be perfect for us.

What on earth does 'world decent' mean :?

WHAT IS THE POINT OF ARTETA???

Can someone please tell me what this guy offers that Denilson did not. I am being dead serious here.
This is why I hardly even ever read these forums anymore, because of utter mug posts like this.

You never read these forums anymore - right?
So you just thought you would...errrr....read the forum, and then comment on something you dislike. Even though you no longer read the forums.

Smart clown.
