Wenger in L'Equipe

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wenger leaving in itself is not a reason to be worried. I'm not going to drag up all the old arguments about Arsenal's 110-year or so existence before he arrived together with the countless trophies.

What worries me more is the group of people responsible for sourcing his replacement - "Hey London, great to be here" 'Jimmy' Kroenke, Chief Chump Gazidis, and his Royal Wankness P-Diddy Hill-Wood.

Knowing our luck, Sepp Blatter will lose his job at FIFA, and our Three Stooges will hire him as a football consultant to find the GIC's replacement...

I can imagine Jimmy now "Hey Sepp, I heard this guy Christian Gross might be interested. Sounds like a plan eh?"

Hope all is well SWL. Read the original French interview and was surprised myself. I'd be Delighted if Wenger left. Wonderful. It's a farcical myth that "6/7 players will leave if AW does". RVP will certainly leave if Wenger stays, because he knows Wenger will sign more mediocre Ligue 1 Frenchies a la Chamak, and Choo Young type jokers.
Rvp will base his decision on what Arsenal can win, and since he's been under AW all he's seen in seven years is one fluke FA cup win and not even a second place league finish in over six years!

Wilshere is Arsenal and will stay whether Wenger goes or stays.

The only players Arsenal need to worry about keeping are Sagna, RVP. Vermaelen just signed a new deal. Chesney can go if he wishes, he's good but he ain't Oliver Kahn. As for losing Song, Diaby, Fabianski, Denilson, Chamakh, Santos, Mertesacker et al? Superb!!!

This is very much Wenger trying to get people off his back by threatening to leave again. He's throwing his dummy like he did when Silvestre was slated, and like he did in 2009 when people began to question him for the first time. Not falling for it. Wenger Hates criticism and he'll say whatever it takes to be left in his pressure-free bubble. No longer.

You wanna leave Arsene, I'll help you pack and put you on the Eurostar myself. £6.5 mil a year and he wants no pressure! If any player is at Arsenal for one manager and not the club, he can do one too.

Touche Stevo I had this very same conversation with people on Saturday night .

Hillwood is a duffer who brought us the hapless Bruce Rioch ,and before anyone starts he did not sign Platt and Berkamp David Dein did !
It would surprise me if appointed David O'Leary if left to his own devices !

Still his father appointed Billy Wright the worse manager Arsenal ever had !

I agree with this entirely - wenger is a sly bastard who made sure to reveal that he had met madrid officials to discuss becoming their manager a couple of seasons ago which of course led to that wonderful pro wenger redaction march of which we are all so proud of   Of course the irony that a man who claims he never breaks a contract admitting that he met another club midway through his existing contract was totally lost on his devout followers  :x

Funny quote from a story in the express about in the piece about how wenger's comments are sure to unsettle rvp and walnut but in said piece theo spoke about the upturn in form of the team and said how "it isnt all about robin and me" - for fcuks sake the fool has been shit most of the season, destroys a championship standard defence and then puts himself up alongside rvp as the main men :coffeespit: :coffeespit: There is no end to the amount of delusion that exists in the modern day footballers

no, they're not total fucking morons. ok, teecee might be (just joking matey   ) but the truth is they've been on this forum for longer than you, contributed to discussions here much more than you, and i consider both to be smart and reasonable guys, even if way too pessimist for me - but their opinion is theirs and you must learn to respect that.

stop the fucking lack of respect, it's pissing me right off.

proper discussions start with "i understand your opinions, but mine are..." or "i disagree, you miss the fact that..." not with "that's stupid you complete moron"

learn some respect, you and baba.

ok fair enough.
some of my posts have been a bit over the top I admit that.
As I have now been on here 2 months I will tone it down from now on.

I still find it remarkable that people on here still want Wenger to leave but there you go.
