I think its a sad thing that people still say this. Its opinions like this that make mental illness the stigma that it currently is.redstevo wrote:

Just head about this. Absolutely tragic, no age to die and as mentioned he must have had a lot of demons. Goes to show how serious an illness depression is when you see that a great professional like Gary Speed can be driven to suicide. Speed was an absolute class player, I remember when he was at Newcastle he always seemed to put a shift in, could grab a goal and had that knack of always looking as if he had loads of space and time on the ball, even in a congested midfield and he was doing a cracking job as manager for Wales, but much more importantly he always came across as a genuinely nice bloke, and a good family man. I feel so gutted for his wife and kids, just cant believe that this has happened to be honest.

From where do you get the information that he was depressed/had mental health issues?
