at least with OX on the bench, with 20 minutes to go with his direct running and keeness to shoot - would be a better option
He's going to be,in my opinion, a very good player. Strenght, power, skill and pace and a bit of attitude. Would have him on the bench infront of the fat russian and rosicky everytime. Has earnt more than carling cup appearnces. Would love to see him play today.
After Olympiakos he HAS to be at the very least on the bench. He was the only one that looked fucking interested and showed a great deal of quality. His dribbling alone tonight was a bigger contribution than Arshavins entire performance.
I know its early days but this guy looks the business I just hope Wengerball doesnt kill the directness in his game.
In a team of pure shite and total apathy the Ox did look like a shining light but I do feel that some of the acolades are a bit ott - the fact is that, because he was playing with a shower of gutless wankers he seen fcuk all ball over the course of 90 minutes so was limited on how much he could influence the game however I totally agree that when he did get the ball he did look dangerous and played with real passion How long will it take for wenger and his team-mates to drain that passion out of him I wonder
seriously need to be playing the Ox in PL games now...Wenger can't be that stupid to not see that Ox will have an unreal impact in a game. he shone amongst the so-called experience of Benayoun, Arshavin, etc. so let him start the villa game, nothing too hard but a start nonetheless.
At the risk of sounding like a stuck record Im going to add todays game away at Man City as another wasted opportunity to give this exciting prospect some game time.
At 1-0 we were very much in the game but wheras Arshavin hid when he came on I think the Ox would have caused some real problems.
At the very least his direct style of play would have asked some questions even if there wasnt a positive outcome.
Arshavin just did not ask any questions of the City backline.

Exactly, 100% correct. How many times will we go through the motions of "lets see if the lazy Russian can change the game bollocks". The guy is spent. We paid good money for this kid and whilst nobody wants to rush him, he has shown enough on all his outings to date to warrant a place on the bench and be first choice replacement for Gervinho and Walcott
