I have contacted JD by PM too and reading this thread I believe his intent wasn't to be racist. He could have chosen his words better sure. He has stated he intended no racism and we must accept his word on that I think.

funny that JDs post caused all this madness even though he is a forum regular of older times, yet babatunde calls anyone whatever he wants in every single one of his posts and most here clap. and the lad joined a few weeks back.

all i read around here is

just to remember - i could've gotten offended by the favela remarks he made not long ago. by the way people turn things into a big deal here, it could've gone as far as this, it's a very delicate subject where i live...

maybe instead of making a storm in a (fucking hell, i don't know how that saying goes in english - pint? teacup? glass? ) we should be worrying about those in here who are disrespectful to fellow members who have been here for a lot longer?

i'm not saying anyone can get away with racism, racism is disgusting and should always be banned, however you probably read highbury jds explanation and if you have been reading his posts for a while you'll realize he was always a class lad before this, much more respectful to other people than babatunde ever was.

The only thing that actually does get under my skin a bit is when someone accuses me or my fellow mods of giving supposed "clique" members preferential treatment or being deliberately inconsistent.

We treat everyone the same. Sure we interact more with certain posters but that is because we know them longer or have actually met them at games or for a beer. But it's a two way street too, if you want to fit in then you have to actually do that - fit in. You cannot expect a whole forum to change to suit you, you must fit into the forum or maybe try another forum that suits you better.

Also, none of us are full time mods like the wankers (many non-Arsenal) that ran the old .con shithouse. We are part of the forum too and all came from within the forum. If you don't like that we could switch to having full time non-opinionated non-member mods that delete tit threads and ban people for swearing.

This place would be dead in a week.
