Coventry Protest Turns Sour

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

While the gardai in ireland are backward and alot are power trippers, most of them are fair and the coppers shouldnt get away with shit like this.

I've always thought there should be minimal police at low risk games anyway. Just another cushy number for them.
And you are basing that on what
Living here

Funny you picked out that but not powertrippers which is arguably worse, but even more true! Its just my opinion on seeing them in action, obviously some are good and some bad, but the bad ones are very bad.

I live here too :roll:3 of my brothers in law and a sister in law are guards and i can ensure they are far from backward and are in no way powertrippers,Of course you are going to come across a bad element there will always be a miniority in any section of society who let down the majority, but to come out with a sweeping statement labelling them all backward and powertrippers seems a bit naive but at least falls into line with your usual crap.

And looking at that video footage it probably doesnt tell the the whole story, you cant really see what led up to the copper trying to remove the fan.
Yeah stick for the police because you have in laws there.

Bet they get your parking tickets quashed though because thats the way they operate.

Yes I shouldnt have tarred them all, but some of them are powertrippers and backward.

And I have blood relatives in the guards, not just in laws. As for you cheap digs, grow up for once.

Notice not all of the boys had numbers on their jackets. I wonder why...

I am biased here though. I have never once been helped by the police when I've been in need of them. I now have such minimal respect for them.

That really pisses me off like- if theyre "just doing their job" why should they need to cover up/ remove numbers. If you ask their number they always just tell you to fuck off. When theyre doing that its pretty obvious theyve got something to hide

Jimmy Hill is revered in Coventry, not for what he did in that game but for the service he did for Coventry and indeed football in his time as manager and Chairman of Coventry.

The Bristol City game was delayed for 10 minutes because due to Heavy traffic, thousands were still outside the ground.
In those days there was scoreboards in the grounds and the full time scores were put up straight away.
I would imagine if Sunderland were playing Newcastle, and both teams were fighting relegation.Ten minutes to go,if the match stayed as it was both teams would stay up,they would go at it hammer and tongs.
They would in my arse and both sets fans would be delighted to see the ball being knocked about in the middle of the pitch.

That made me chuckle coming from the guy who a while back was crying like a little girl because he thought some guy on a spuds forum were going to report him to the police for being abusive and came on here bleating about it

As already said, top marks to the Coventry lads for sticking together, could do with a bit more of that at our place.

You don't need to be convicted to get a Football Banning order.

The laws on football supporters in this country are an absolute disgrace.

No rights, everyone is a suspect & if you do get 'involved' in any way, shape or form, you are sentenced worse than a kiddy fiddler
