Milan Travel etc

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

let us know if you find out best area to stay, guessing its near the square , heaps of videos of last time out there pre match piss up/singsong, epic,
Think Dumo square is place to be but it's right in middle of town so it's not cheap. I paid 90 euro a night for a twin room which is more than i wanted but get to stagger back after drinking without having to use tram or taxi.
Can't wait :barscarf:
Which site did you find this on? Anywhere in the center seems crazy expensive :?

what do you guys think the chances are of this going to red members?

if it happens, i'm a bit worried that by then flight prices will have gone a bit steep! unless anyone is able to help with memberships/spares before that?!

also... if i do get hold of a ticket or two, have you any advice for a gooner travelling to milan, possibly with one other? wanna have a good time and a few beers, but don't really know many other arsenal fans going!

I've been told that it's likely to go to Red members. I'm a Red member as well and I've already booked my flight.

Arsenal.com published ticket details today. Our allocation is 5200! :barscarf:

Have done a few Euro aways on my todd, just chat with people in the pubs & bars, you'll find plenty of top Gooners....

So you think I'd be alright - I will literally know nobody out there. Often go to home games but its with the same couple of people who don't wanna go to Italy!

Am thinking it's worth doing a couple of nights, Tuesday-Thursday, to make the most of it...?

You'll be fine mate. Have been on a few trips where i've known literally nobody & haven't come across an unfriendly Gooner yet. Have had some great drinking sessions late into the night with people i'd only met a few hours previously.

Definitely worth making a few days of it too, we're doing Tuesday lunchtime - Thursday afternoon...

Cheers for the advice mate - shall definitely look into it, I've kinda costed that its doable for £250 plus beer money. Just gotta be brave enough to go for it myself if that's what it comes to!

Yeah Dan is right, just get yourself there and you'll be fine. I've done plenty of European aways myself too and even did Malaysia in the summer on my own, you'll meet tons of friendly gooners in every pub.

Got an email from Ryanair last night saying my flight has been moved from 8am to 1:30pm on the day of the game, bit annoyed at that but still looking forward to it.

looking forward to this, some people said, Milan is boring and no pubs open after midnight, bullshit, my mate who went last time said there was a street with some quality nightclubs, bang on it for some Italian Clunge :barscarf:
