Benayoun

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yeah let's sign him up!
I reckon he's top class and we should start becoming a rejects home for all the average players the big clubs don't want.

So I say we sign up Benayoun and add:

-Wayne Bridge
- Darron Gibson
- Salmon Kalou
- Flo Malouda
- Tomas Kuzcak
- Michael Owen
- Jermain Defoe
- Pavlyuchenko

I mean we've done Silvestre already, and Benayoun scored at Olympiakos so why not? They'll be cheap as chips all of them as their clubs want rid!

Aaah good to see what an ambitious club Arsene is turning us into.
Reminds me of the days Spuds used to "pinch" players off us like Rohan Ricketts and Guillaume Warmuz!!!

:barscarf:

while those players are not world class, they are better than the shit AW has us relying on now. pav and defoe and miles ahead of our 2nd best striker.

Red, what is wrong with you? I don't rate either Defoe or Pav, but undoubtably better than Chamakh or Park.

Agree with all this except Park. We don't know yet how good he might be. We haven't seen enough of him. Odds are he'll probably be pants but you never know...

But certainly Chamakh has lost whatever he had and has regressed horribly.

Yeh, have no idea how good park really is. There's just no need to jump on a poster just because of where he/she is possibly from. We have plenty of posters from all over the country and world who know their stuff.

AVB is a vindictive, puerile, cocky little piece of badger shit.
He knows Chelski are in a fight with us for 4th but yet, he's more than happy to let us have Yossi on loan. Hmmm wonder why?

I see the point in those saying "sign as a squad player" but errrr I kinda have news for y'all. Arsenal is littered with "squad players" and hardly any first teamers worthy of the shirt.

When your club makes £3 mil a home game, over £90 mil expendable cash, barrels of profits and moved stadiums "to compete with the best in Europe", hearing the clamour for a Chelski reject is just plain sad and ridiculous. How low are standards now? How low has AW taken you?

Question: if we asked AVB to take Sturridge on loan, what do you think he'd say? Ok say we asked to take Lukaku even on loan...what would he say then?

Are the same ppl saying this is a good idea say the same about Silvestre? Chelski are locked in a battle for 4th with Arsenal. They need every advantage they can get...and they'll continue to let us have Benayoun on loan.

STILL need a hint?

Squad players? Song, Diaby, Denilson, Djourou, Flappy, Jenkinson, Santos, Chamakh, Park all squad players. We need first teamers.

PS DB10 we can pass judgment on Park actually. The reason we never see him play is for the same reason you never saw Bebe play at Manure: he's fucking garbage. You never saw Taarabt play at Spuds either cos...yep, he's crap!

It's not as if this is some child that needs lots of time and patience etc. he's captain of S Korea ffs, he was rubbish for Monaco and struggled in Ligue 1, got relegated and was about to be signed as fourth choice striker for LILLE!!! How many more hints do you need brah!!

Baba, being shit in one league doesn't automatically make you shit in another, mate. I'm not for a minute saying Park is quality. What I'm saying is I'd like to see him actually play a few games in the PL before I judge him.

Also I think you are overreacting a tad to this thread. I don't see where anyone is "clamouring" for Benny to be signed. I do see that people are saying he is as good as most of, and indeed better than some of, the players he's competing for a place with. Does this mean we only want to sign Benny and no one else better? No - of course not.

wouldn't sign benny, looking for bigger and better long term but as long as we're paying his wages i'd like to see him play more often, the midfield is starting to show signs of burn out and it's only december, think he needs to start more games
