St Arseingham's Day...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

ssshhhhh Baba doesnt like talking about him getting things wrong  Even if the scum finish above us he prediction of them finishing 'miles ahead of us' is wrong just like his "pre season" predictions on the team and his views on Gervinho apparently "before" he signed for us.

Gervinho signed 18th July

Season starts 13th August so pre season is anytime before this date

Babatunde joins forum 18th August

See where im going with the discrepancies here?

quote="Babatunde I think Podolski will prove a very good signing, especially if it's as a complement to RVP. Their personalities are a major clash though which is why I can't see then two playing together. That and they're both incredibly similar, their tendency to cut onto their left etc...you can't play two lefties up front, a right footer needs to play there also.

He's a very good player though Podolski.[/quote]

Podolski is decent but can't help but seeing him as a poor man's RVP?

No way Arsenal are winning this group in their current state.
If by some miracle, three top quality players are signed i.e. a DCM, a CB and a top striker, then Arsenal can win that group.
Since they won't however, I see Dortmund winning that group. As the teams stand, Dortmund are a far superior team and down the middle with Subotic, Kagawa and Goetze,; Arsenal simply can't compete.
As for Marseille it needs to be remembered that no English team has ever won at the Velodrome.

Honestly see this as a straight fight for second place between Arsenal and Marseille. And if Wenger does what we all suspect and does fuck all, Arsenal are finishing third in this group. Simples

Hope you dont mind me joining in

I would just like to say, I think Dortmund are gonna absolutely smash Arsenal to pieces on Tuesday. Seriously. That Dortmund team is sick. You look right across the team and it's just class from Goetze to Kigawa, to Subotic keeping it tight at the back. They're a quality counter-attacking side, they play great football and have an excellent young manager

I'm genuinely surprised to see people thinking we can get a point here. Seriously. We couldn't get a point at bloody Ewood Park!!! Stamford Bridge? Torres will kill Mert and Kos imo I'm afraid. Defeat here, love to be proved wrong with a win though

Fuck all this Haye vs Chisora shit that I've been hearing about today...

...I'll be tuning into Sunday night's McDowell vs Babatunde heavyweight clash. After a year of sparring, the gloves will be well and truly off once we know what the final league places will be :barscarf:

And we took 4pts off them, which makes us even more "sick" than Dortmund :barscarf:
