Gervinho was an easy choice for me. Bought for £11.5 mil (Arsene has no money though!). £70k a week in wages. Absolutely pathetic. No brain, no vision, cannot cross, cannot beat a man, shocking first touch, no ability to play one touch football, no movement, hardly poses a goal threat. Ridiculous joke of a player.

Frankly, Rosicky could quite easily have featured on this list earlier in the season. Remember Old Trafford?! He has played six half decent games in about 3 years and suddenly he is worthy of a new contract and a pay rise. Another player who has failed to ever perform consistently for the Club, yet is still here and will be next season and the one after that. The plaudits that are being lauded on him at the moment are laughable. It is a sign of just how poor so many of our players are that when they string a few performances together we claim they are world beaters e.g. Walcott, Song. Truth is they are usually so poor that when they are simply half competent many apologists for the team and Wenger are happy to forget the complete dross that has been served up for so long. Just like the people who believe that seven wins on the trot can paper over the cracks of seven years of failure.

It would be easy to react to the last performance but I'd have to say Arshavin because the guy has contributed absolutely nothing, closely followed by Gervinho. I think Mertesacker is completely unsuited to the Premier League - I did before we signed him and have seen nothing that has made me change my mind - but at least in the European games he's shown his composure can be a positive influence.

Aaron Ramsey has been desperately disappointing since the turn of the year, but again, at least in the first part of the season he worked his arse off and there was far too great a burden on his shoulders in midfield.

Gervinho's been a huge disappointment, but in the same way as with Mertesacker and Santos, I'd be wary of judging a foreign player in their first year in the Premier League.

Just like we shouldnt have judged Chamakh and Squillaci last season

SWL has a point. Give any player a season to settle in.

Ljungberg was average in his first season, the next season he was amazing!

The games against Newcastle, Villa and Everton all came after he signed his extension and he was excellent in all of the said games.

I think you have irrational hatred for the man. He's constantly one of our best and most hard working players this season.
