The Railway. Not the nicest pub in the world but it's handy. Usually no problem getting served and a nice little beer garden.

Went to the wig and gown pre match last sunday and tbh I didnt think much of it - it was very much like the grove as in loads of overly loud music and f**k all atmosphere

Left there and went down to try phibbers for the first time and I thought that was a good pub - good crowd and atmosphere downstairs with people watching the manure match but I went upstairs and watched some of the munster rugby match with the many of the worlds finest people (the Irish

"Bar Cosa" on the Holloway Road has been taken over and has reverted to it's original name of 'The Lamb', and is pretty good : Large selection of draught, but no beer garden, unless you count the smallet smoking area I have ever seen out the back.
In the Highbury days I used to go the 'Robinson Crusoe', which is /was right over by Highbusy Fields I think ; too much of a trek nowadays though.

The Robinson Crusoe is up near Clissold park - I sometimes pop in for a beer there on the way to Blacktock road.TheCook wrote:"Bar Cosa" on the Holloway Road has been taken over and has reverted to it's original name of 'The Lamb', and is pretty good : Large selection of draught, but no beer garden, unless you count the smallet smoking area I have ever seen out the back.

I generally drink in Cannons (The Factory). Started drinking in there in the highbury days as it was the only place that didn't take ages to be served and have stuck with it. It's a bit rundown but after all these years they know me in there and If I take my kids to a game they always make them feel welcome and treat them to the odd free ribena.

Do they still play in there? We stopped going to the Gunners because of that awful racket!flash gunner wrote:The Gunners (before the away boys started peddling their shite awful music)
I'm a Junction man now, also like the Hen & Chickens.
Went to the Todlington for the first time on Sunday after the game. Was quite impressed.

I wondered why the bloody rugby was on in Phibbers - taken over by augie and his Irish mob.augie wrote:arseofacrow wrote:phibbers before it kept closing down for renovation

Full of history. Great beer garden. The only downside is the dodgy characters who get in there sometimes.....

Although I've seen the picture before, I noticed for the first time that augie looks like that Liverpudlian cooking bloke who does the show with Tim Lovejoy (Sunday Brunch?) and Mutley definitely looks like that Welsh Comedian Rhod Gilbert!!REB wrote:olgitgooner wrote:I would say the Gunners is my favourite.
