Dalglish sacked... or maybe walked

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Seriously bad news. Im not even joking.

They will get a decent manager in this time! If any other manager spent 100M Liverpool would probably be up all our *sses, bar city and utd who are way out in front.

The Mersey will be in meltdown now though.

What does having players in the England squad have to do with anything?

Agree with the cups though - I thought winning a trophy would have saved his job.

Just had a quick look on a scouse forum, and it's in meltdown

It seems like they're all gutted Kenny has gone and that sacking the manager after one season is the final nail in the coffin for the famous 'Liverpool way'. (which is fair enough, even if Kenny is a joke)

Oh, and they all seem to want Rafa back!

Liverpool is stuck in the past.
The owners realise this and are bringing in a new regime.

But it could have been us.
For all the moaning about the new Arsenal, and there are many valid points on how we are getting ripped off, there is at least a notion of looking forwards not backwards at Arsenal.

Dalglish wins a trophy and reaches a cup final and gets sacked.

Le Clown wins nothing in 7 years and is safe!

The AKBs claim "we cannot compete" with cash rich teams, yet when it's pointed out that Pool spent 100 mil and we finished ahead of them, the position changes

So is money a guarantee of success or not?

As I've said a million times, any serious club would have sacked Wenger as far back as 2008. When he bottled a league title that was ours to lose.

They are talking about Roberto Martinez as a replacement.

What does this guy really offer? He keeps Wigan up......erm, Paul Jewell got them a top half finish in 2006 and a place in the Carling Cup Final. When Jewell left he kept them up on the last day, and Martinez has barely improved that during his tenure.

Perhaps Liverpool too can become managed by a bloke that plays 'lovely football' and wins Fuck All.

Always get a manager that improves the clubs he takes over - O'Neill, Moyes, Lambert, Rodgers (although not at Reading).

People talk about Martinez as a future Arsenal manager.......if that's the best alternative we get to the GIC I won't be taking a ST any time in the next few years

Let them appoint Martinez - the fans won't want him and after 3 months they'll be singing Benitez's name on the Kop
