Sunderland Calling

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Not doing very well are we?

I went back and added the other names from previous replies

1. Number 5
2. SammyDroppedHisShorts
3. Augie (there is no way I am putting my name beside diaby's number   )
4. skizz_b
5. danno
6. M-50
7. Goose
8.
9.
10.
11.

Thats enough for 7 a side at least. Hash Kads was a maybe.

Personally I think 7 a side with a roll on roll off sub basis is better as the 11- a side pitch killed most of us before.

Jeez we might actually get a team together yet  Mind you last year a few lads let chunky down by not showing up on the day so a few "spares" might be advisable

Yes, you could be alluding to me, I had to call between playing footie or driving my wife 300 miles to Chester-le-street, about 15 miles from Sunderland, as her father was taken very ill. Now I am a selfish fucker at the best of times but not that selfish.

Bump. Can we get this stickied?

Lots of interest from our lads. We'll be bringing a strong squad down (although sounding like it should be from green street, it isn't).

Seriously mate I hadn't a fcuking clue who hadn't turned up that day - all I knew is that we were meant to have 15 lads but only had the bare 11 so when our marauding left full got injured after two minutes ( ) we had nobody left to bring in :( I would love to say that was the reason for our beating but I might be stretching reality a bit there
Anyway mate I wasn't having a pop at you and obviously family has to come first

Sorry mate, must be wrong time of the month :( out of morbid interest what was the final score, was it worse than the year before

If we are short I could bring my nephew and he is pretty rapid and quality striker and obviously a gooner.

Honestly I cant remember the score but I do know that it wasnt good

As for your nephew then I would def say bring him on - firstly we are severely lacking pace and secondly we are severely lacking youth  Seeing as chunky is out of the running for gaffer and I dont see rebel (who was being touted as a chunky replacement last year  ) stepping up to the plate then I dont know who is gonna manage us or who is going to organise it tbh so dont want to be seen as overstepping my mark by telling you to bring your nephew with you but I am fairly confident that there wont be a problem bringing him on as we will need all the help we can get
