WE ARE THE ARSENAL Cazorla, Giroud and Podolski

I am not sure that people fully realise quite how crap we are going to be this season so I will not post much on here for the next few weeks.

Sure RVP was the greatest striker in europe for one year, before that he had a glass leg and hardly hit double figures! All I am saying is that the great players that made us a world class club never won us a thing!!! Sure we still have deadwood at the club that Wenger will have bother getting rid of but what did Song ever win us?

I'm no rosetinter but I may go back to the grove after two years away as I had lost all faith in the great players we sold who always got a nose bleed when they caught sight of the top of the table. All those who now lament the loss of Cesc and the other 'greats' must have a short memory :?

Oh, and I'm from Magherafelt Sid.

We'll see how these lads do next weekend in Stoke. The club is stuck in twilight zone.

According to the United loving media we lost this game 0 -0 :blah:

I for one have hoped for chamge at Arsenal for sometime, i just draw a line under players who feel they are best served elsewhere, why beat ourselves up about them? Open the door and let them run on, i care about the players who want to be Arsenal players, i suppport the players who want to be Arsenal players and if they don't then they can just :cussing: OFF!

The old guard of RVP, Cesc, Nasri etc didn't serve us so well if our trophy room is anything to go by so we needed change, FACT. project youth was unpopular on this forum and at long last Wenger caught on to that too!!! Rice was branded a yes man and was also unpopular so now we have Bould who we hope can guide our defence towards greater stability.

Change is good, embrace the change and remember it's what people have called for from ages ago. it brings uncertainty for sure, but it brings new hope and hopefully new heroes.

Sammy is right on the money with this thread :barscarf:
Yeah but the change we really need is at the yop and that aint happening.
PS where in derry are you from.

But isn't that the yogurt that is 'great for kids and adults, full of flavour and nutritional values'? How can that possible be to blame, unless you're suggesting a change to Muller, Shape or another brand would be better for the players? :rubchin:   :-P
Seems you may have been right after all sid....

The much mourned RvP is clearly going to be shit for Utd

Or would I be guilty of making a knee jerk reaction there :? Surely there are no such reactions on this forum :rubchin:

Give our new signings achance as even europes greatest striker needs time to bed in, UP THE GUNNERS :barscarf:

And my love for that club out weighs any owner, manager, player or fan......my love is for Arsenal 1886, Victoria Concordia Crescit. NEVER forgetting that green patch of grass I saw as a seven year old when reaching the top of the North Bank steps!

It's not the same club but...it is the same club. It's red and white, it's the Gunners, it's the heritage, the class the THE. I won't let no foreign mercenary upset me...because I love this club...no matter it's guise it's like my brother, my dad, my uncle, my kids.......you hate them sometimes, they piss you off, the let you down, they say bad things, but you still love them....you still do what you can to see them, you even spend money on them....

I'd rather be an Arsenal fan than any other fan......

Now these three young men have come to Arsenal and bring to the table class, guile, skill, goals and most of all plan A and Plan B.

Giroud to me is a real gem that will be polished and will reap a hatful of goals. I like the 45 minutes he produced in Cologne. It suggests to me that his aerial power will be far more explosive than that of Chamakh and Bendtner. Albeit one chance that the keeper tipped over on Sunday, his ability to get his head on crosses is one I haven't seen for sometime. In fact I'd go as far to say he reminds me of Alan Smith. If he can be half the player Smudger was then I feel we have made a very significant signing.

Also remember...he is a winner...something our changing room now lacks totally.

Santiago Cazorla is a fantastic player. I have watched Spanish football extensively over the lat couple of years and I can assure any doubters that this lad is the bollocks. He has the ability to lock defences with precision and I firmly believe he will bring to the table the assists ratio both Fabregas and van Persie attributed.

Also.....he is a winner.

Podolski well I think people many people on here underestimate this guy. You don't lead a German attack one hundred times and be useless. I have always rated this lad and I truly feel that he is ideal for us. I think RVP will be long forgotten when we sing He scores what he wants Lukas Poldolski scores when he wants.

Also....He is a goal scoring machine and we will see as many goals from him as we did RVP. I will even hasten to say welcome to our next one hundred goals for the club player.

What am I trying to say is this. We are all sore and annoyed by this latest transfer fiasco and we all know that in our hearts RVP left because he felt that his chances of winning things were best suited at OT. BUT.....I feel he has made a very big error.

Here is to a season that may surprise many. Stay safe on your trips to other grounds. Sing your hearts out for the name on the shirt that is Arsenal

And remember....fuck em all......
Yes YEs, bring it on :box:

Giroud better turn out good. Ive printed his name on my shirt. ha ha

I have a sneaky feeling about this season too. I dont know why, it just feels different to me then the previous 7. i.e. Not all doom and gloom in August, more a case of some doom and gloom intersperced with rays of sunshine. :D

Have to say the slating Giroud got from the morons on Sky after the game yesterday was a joke. He put in a huge shift for the team, chased everything down, helped out defensively with set pieces and was a real handful in the air for their centre-halves. Yes, he didn't manage to score but in reality as a team we lacked so much cutting edge there were very few opportunities for him to do so. I dread to think how many players 'expert' pundits have written off after few games only for them to turn out to be quality. Redknapp declaring that he clearly hasn't settled yet after 90 minutes at one of the toughest venues in English football is a joke. I am worried because we have lacked cutting edge in the two games so far but at the end of the day 3 of our 4 most attacking players are new, what do you expect?

Giroud took a lot of shit for not squaring to Ramsey, however I have to say I'm pleased that he had the balls on him to give it a go 8) How many others in our team woud have been so ambitious :?:

We have lost at Joke 3 out of the last 5 visits according to MotD2, even with europes best striker in the team :!:

I saw enough in that game yesterday to prevent me from reaching for the panic button just yet, the goals will come, I hope :barscarf:

The pundits just love to write Arsenal off, deride them at every opportunity, tip us to lose, to drop out of the top 4 etc etc.

We always get stick for not winning a trophy in 7 years now.

What have Tottenham won during that spell - the who gives a fuck cup, but you don't hear negativity from the press, its always how they are real contenders now, great future ahead, traditional cup team, etc, etc they last got to the FA Cup final in 1991 I think, that's pathetic. They were booed off yesterday, but your only hear what a great atmosphere the fans create, how its always full at only(36,000 I should bloody hope so)

Liverpool are in a worse state as a club than us, overpaying for signings, Carrol, Adam, playing awful stuff, but managed to win the who gives a fuck cup. They have dropped away from the top 4 in spectacular style and appear a long way away from getting back in my opinion. Last season their saviour Dalglish failed abysmally and the ended up below Everton in the league.
But their fans are great, cos they sing a song, backed by the pa and wave some flags when its a European night  They also booed off their team on many occasions last season.

I'm not surprised at the Arsenal bashing, just on some of the specifically ludicrous comments.

There may be a lot of negative aspects about AFC but I agree that Liverpool are still a laughing stock with no hope of top 4 in the foreseeable future and a squad that seems to be getting worse very year, and as much as the media love to hype them up Spurs have one tin pot cup and one CL qualification to show over the last two decades, and have just signed a deal to become Madrid's feeder club.

I wanted to resurrect this thread because after Saturday's performance in coming from behind at what is a difficult place to win and the fact that our squad is getting back to full fitness, I feel something in my water. Early days I know but if we can avoid too many performances like the one against the Chavs, then something may just happen this year. I do sense a different team spirit and granted that's the shit that Wenger has been spouting for a few years now but the thought of what our midfield could develop into is starting to make me think a little differently.

8 weeks time I could have egg on my face but...... :barscarf:
