As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Big thanks to Wales for at least providing some comedy during the borefest. At least Monkey Boy will never get to play in a major tournament unless Team GB decide to call him up for the Olympics in 2024 when he's a knackered old has been
these were not friendly matches, they were WORLD CUP matches - Forget the Euros England played arguably the biggest match of their year last night. I couldn't believe how few people were watching in the pubs though. We played Ukraine in a Euro match in June when we had already qualified for the QFs and they were packed yet last night in a much more important game no one bothered to watch. Unbelievable.

You don't really know much about football, do you, mate?
Fuck me, I landed at Cardiff Airport at 1am yesterday and driving home passed the Wales team coach. After learning that we got spanked 6-1 by a Serbia side who have a scoring record nearly as bad as our own, they should have scrapped the coach and made the useless pricks walk back on their own.
Coleman has done exceptionally well to remove the belief and desire Speed instilled in the players: how much longer can he continue to dine out on his spell at Fulham? The bulk of the credit for undoing the good work of the previous regime however has to go to the FAW, who ignored Verheijen and appointed Coleman. Verheijen is a seriously good coach and the main reason Wales were doing so well (Speed was many things, particularly a figurehead and a motivator, but a good coach was not one of them), and they ignored his contributions and the players' wishes by appointing Coleman. Might as well have gone the whole hog and brought back Toshack who could then trot out his excuse that we're "in transition".
Have to give Paul Bodin a huge portion of the blame too, just because he's a prick for missing that penalty in 1993.
