I would be more than happy with a draw but I reckon if we can keep it tight at the back again we can win. City don't look to solid at the back so I reckon we should be able to score 1 or 2. Hope AW plays Kos ahead of Mertersacker, dont know why Kos didn't get straight back in the team after coming back from injury given the way he had been playing :rubchin:

I'll go 2-0 to the Arsenal :barscarf:

Think it was fair enough to keep Per in the team. Koscielny had a great year last year but we want healthy squad competition and Mertesacker was part of a very solid-looking back line, if Koscielny has to prove a point to get back in the side then brilliant. It's what should be happening with Szczesny but unfortunately Mannone is shite.

Giroud gets to keep the match ball after banging in three :barscarf:

This prediction has to happen sometime, might as well be Sunday :D

3-1 city. sorry, the optimism everyone else is sharing hasnt come to me yet. maybe if we win this one it will. but so far this season we have gotten draws against stoke and sunderland, and beat a bad southampton team and a REALLY bad liverpool team. we got outplayed against montpellier.

IF we manage to get a win in this City game I will hop on board the train but so far we havent proved anything other than that we are really missing a top level striker.

To be fair, Sunderland and Stoke both parked the bus and we had a team who was only just starting to get to know each other. Liverpool played poorly but that doesn't mean Arsenal didn't also have a good day at the office, stifling their attack and frustrating them. Soton gave both United and City real good tests (but admittedly looked tired and disinterested against us). Montpellier were absolutely tossed around by us in the first half, and if it wasn't for the fact half our starting 11 in that game had played so much in the last 2-3 weeks, I doubt the second half would have gone as poorly as it did.

I think this game is too tough to call. I feel like City have the edge though. 2-1 to City I will say. But I think we'll have a good contest.

I remember saying that 3/1 on us to win at Anfield was tempting but you can get nearly 4/1 on us today. I know City haven't lost at home for 43 years but.....

2-2

I know what you mean about not getting the general optimism. That two-bob twat Venables was writing in the Sun yesterday saying how he got it wrong about how Wenger should have left two years ago, that the Arsenal fans and board's patience was being rewarded now, and how we 'had splashed the cash' in the Summer. What fucking planet do these experts live on?

What reward has there been for our patience?? Four unbeaten league games with 3 of those being against Stoke, Southampton and Sunderland. And as for splashing the cash - I thought that was such a wind-up attempt that I checked to see whether the journalists name was R Member.

Same pundits that will be writing us off again if we lose to City saying that we need to spend more and that we can't compete. Win at City, and we'll be hearing how it was a masterstroke to let Van Persie go and how well balanced the team is now.

Think its going to be a shit game with two teams blaming 'fatigue' from their midweek adventures. 0-0 which will do me fine thanks

I really don't see us getting much out of this game, I hate predicting my team to lose but its the only sensible answer 2-0 Citeh.

Coquelin v Yaya LMFAO
Wouldn't scan trust Coq against Barry!
An unaddressed area yet again. Yawn. How much was Dembele again?
Oooh I forgot Arsene needed to spend that £13 mil on the French Andy Carrol!
Seems people here are happy to settle for a draw? Funny cos Arsenal have already drawn 2 games any team going for the title should be winning: Sunderland home, Stoke away.
Arsenal should be going for a win today here.
If Giroud is dropped then there's a good chance of doing sthg. Fancy that, a £13 mil sub who can't even get a start against Southampton.

"Arsene is having funds held back by the board"
