Couldn't believe what I was hearing on 5live earlier. Some muted acceptance that Bale dived and has 'a bit of a history' but that was then quickly brushed aside because apparently we should only focus on what a good player he is.goonersid wrote:that monkey faced bastard is the biggest cheat i've seen since van horseshite, it's every fucking game, yet not a fucking word of criticism from the brit press.
Now, its not often I sympathise with scousers but the treatment Suarez gets in comparison to Bale is ridiculous.
Re: Weekend Intl Games
Btw Suarez said some days or so ago that he wants to change.. stop diving and all that stuff
Well I watched Argentinas victory over Uruguay and Suarez had 2 or 3 situations where he could've easily dived but he didn't
(I know he won't change

Re: Weekend Intl Games
Sadly, as much of a diving prick monkeyboy undoubtedly is, he's a fantastic winger.
Re: Weekend Intl Games
Well quite - as opposed to Eduardo who was as good as hounded out of the British game for taking a tumble against Celtic (a game we were already pissing on aggregate). Didn't some Scottish minister for sport even get involved ?? Lets see the reaction now their national team has been nobbled by the monkey faced wankergoonersid wrote:that monkey faced bastard is the biggest cheat i've seen since van horseshite, it's every fucking game, yet not a fucking word of criticism from the brit press.
And 8 years after the fucking event I still here how we wouldn't have gone the season unbeaten if Pires hadn't dived against Portsmouth at THOF.
No matter what anyone thinks about Pulis he had a good point about Suarez. The tosser throws himself around in front of the Kop, like the new Tom Daley and the monkeyfaced scummer is just behind him in the cheating wanker stakes
Re: Weekend Intl Games
By the way I'm still pissing myself that Scotland were only runners up in last night's Inferiority Complex Shield, not to mention the duck shoot over in Oireland

Re: Weekend Intl Games
It's a sorry state of affairs when the Nevilles are able to have a laugh and a joke on Twitter about kicking Reyes off the park with no repercussions (just like the original event) yet you get the idiots at UEFA and even some dickhead politician wading in when Eduardo dived in a match that was over as a contest before the game even started.SteveO 35 wrote:Well quite - as opposed to Eduardo who was as good as hounded out of the British game for taking a tumble against Celtic (a game we were already pissing on aggregate). It's got to the point where Bale literally cheats every game. Didn't watch the post-match interviews but the interviewer should have asked him if he dived and see what he said. Will those dickheads at UEFA slap him with a 2-game ban?

He said he was touched and it was a definite penalty.
......
Lots of talk about Bale but no discussion about Ramsey's dive?

Re: Weekend Intl Games
Actually forgot about that, dreadful dive from Ramsey too and if the ref had any bollocks he'd have given him a second yellow.

Re: Weekend Intl Games
The difference that really was obvious between the Germans and the Oirish was technique. Every German player can use both feet. They can use their outstep to pass the ball where they want it to go, over a set distance with the right weight on it. Our lads can kick a ball in the general direction of a team mate. Sometimes.
Tapapony hasn't got a clue about modern football. He is 105 years old and did his best coaching back in the 70's and 80's FFS. He bent to the stupid Oirish media call for 5 in midfield and then sent them out there with no game plan or tactics.
"Ay! Letsa putta 5-ah inna da middle ay! Ay! Yoo-ah runna rounda alotta! Issa good-ah!" Genius.
Watching those 5 get pulled all over the pitch was like watching schoolkids playing.
Both monkeyface and Ramsey should be strung up for diving. Disgraceful.
Diving is fucking ruining the game. Rooney (your new heroic captain
), Gerard, Monkeyface, EVERYONE AT MANURE, Suarez - all diving cheating crunts.

Re: Weekend Intl Games
Just tomorrow to get over and we can concentrate on real football again. I'm not a fan of International Football but I am embarrassed and even a bit angered by what happened to Ireland. The media muppets now want Trap out, fair enough but these same dopes were saying in early June "There is no reason why Ireland cannot win the Euro's" . But on Friday we had a Celtic reject now with Toronto marking Klose while three Premier League defenders (I think) sat on the bench and the decent Wes Houlihan sat at home while Andrews , McGeedy and Cox took on Ozil and company. Well worth that €1.2m a year is our manager.
Re: Weekend Intl Games
Latest rumour over here is that the tax dodging twitcher is being lined up to take over from trapatoni
There is no doubt he would like the opportunity to stick two fingers up at the english fa for snubbing him but whether managing these clowns would help him do that is doubtful
Like many of you I have no real tolerance for international football during the domestic season but it is embarassing and a little bit sad to see the state of our national team
The gaa and egg chasing knobs over here are pissing themselves at what is happening with our national team and for that reason alone I want our team to do well. It is similar to a lot of international teams now in that we do not possess the same quality of players that we had in the past but without doubt we have players to be doing better than we are. When the italian clown didnt give the likes of coleman, mc carthy, mc clean, pilkington and hoolahan plenty of game time prior to the euro's and when he still insisted on playing all the old guard in our 3rd game at the euro's (despite the fact that we were already knocked out) then he had to go in my opinion.
Funniest moment last friday night was when eamon dunphy called for mick mc carthy to be hired as Ireland manager again when the stupid dumb c**tbag was the main driving force behind the campaign to get mc carthy sacked in the first place

Re: Weekend Intl Games
When you think Ireland managed to qualify for the Euros it really puts international football into perspective. Very fortunate to be drawn in a group where the best teams were Russia, Slovakia and Slovenia and then face Estonia, possibly the worst team to ever make the play-offs!
It's going to get ridiculous when Euro 2016 incorporates 24 teams, nearly half of the European sides. As SteveO mentioned before, we should be cutting down on the number of international fixtures by making perenially shit sides play pre-qualification matches to cut the groups down, not extending the tournament proper to more shit sides.
I presume that qualifying would be 9 groups with the top 2 from each going through with the host nation, and the remaining 5 places being made up of the best 3rd-placed team and 4 others via play-offs? Looking at the calibre of teams who finish 3rd it's just fucking pointless. The top teams are already guaranteed to qualify basically so it makes it even more pointless now, when was the last time a genuinely good side finished 4th in a qualifying group?
