Worst arsenal first 11 ever

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Another of the 'one game wonders' that Wenger raved about for a couple of years when he was playing in the reserves, had a stormer against Everton in the Beer Cup and then disappeared up his own arse

These days that one good game in the Beer Cup would result in a Vela style 5 year contract on 25k per week

Sorry mate, but Ramsey is total shite. He could play for anyone and he'd be shite.

i agree Diaby, shouldn't be near the worst 11 Arsenal team - biggest problem is he's constant injury problems,

if we could get 38+ games out of him in a season, i think he would be a great asset to us, sadly he can't last 3 games without crying off injured

As others have said, there are some players who only played one or two games so it is not fair to include them.

Agreed.

It should be players that have got a fair amount of game time and or have cost alot of money.

Or maybe were a captain - Squidy, Coco and Djourou spring to mind :banghead: :banghead:

Who would be manager of this worst 11

Have you already forgotten all of his other great achievements 1989???

How about becoming the first manager in PL history to oversee the throwing away of a 4 goal lead and leading the club to its highest league defeat in a century.

People thought Rioch wasn't up to much but took us to a Europa League spot after GG had allowed a once great team to be mid-table, cup specialists. If we finish in the Europa League spots this year we'll hear what a fantastic achievement it was given where we were in November, and he'll get a contract extension on the back of it

:D

Don't forget being the first ever manager to lead a team into failing to attempt a single shot at the Nou Camp in Champions League history.
