FRIMPONG: TO BE SOLD or GO ON LOAN?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Firstly i think the biggest and most important missed here is that he has been at the club for a long time , over 8 years and has worked his nuts off to earn his contracts and has also spent years developing through the different teams with Jack and wants nothing more than to play in midfield with him.

Secondly, would fans rather sing a fukin song about shit driving like santos or having been caught boozing in a night club or caught in a bookmakers rather than slag him off because of the Dench brand that has been developed and the t shirts and caps etc sold- what is the problem with this ?

Lethal Bizzle the rapper is a gooner and his cousin and all they have done to promote this is clever marketing and him showing his brain and not just resting on his alleged fat salary- which it isn't.

His next contract is crucial and the club will not chuck loads at him at the moment because of his injuries ( we have all seen what has happened and the criticism with Rosicky and Diaby etc ) so he has gone out on loan to try and prove his fitness and that he deserves a new improved contract.

He will not join Charlton permanently and Jan 1st rather than Jan 31st has been done to give the option of a further loan deal somewhere else during January if not quite ready or needed this season and yes Wolves might be the destination or perhaps Ipswich.

leave the kid alone and let him try and prove himself , at least as many have said he appears to have the passion and determination to succeed

DENCH

Personally I would love to see him get his chance - especially against teams like the scum and stokeinbreds - take a few of their so called hard men out at the fecking neck...we have pussies like ramsey and santos playinf (if it can be called that) and they are SHYTE...at least Frimpong gives his all and takes no prisoners! :barscarf:

Loan is what is needed for him after return from two knee injuries.
He has slipped behind Coquelin in the pecking order, and must be worried about the tidy Yennris too.

As for his Denching, I have said it before and I will say it again; it is now up to Frimpong to focus on the football and decide whether he becomes another Michael Thomas or another Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

Daily Mirror claim Frimpong to go on a free transfer this summer.
We are overloaded with central midfielders so can see it happening.

Interesting when you look at the Ramsay scenario for example with long term contract and predicament Club is in.

Frimpong has 1 more year left on his contract after this season, his contract does not expire this summer.

He was offered a new long term contract with the 'gang of 5" albeit 3 years not 5 years.

Unlike Ramsey who grabbed the chance for 5 years money Frimpong ( rightly or wrongly,) has confidence in his ability and felt the offer from the club was not good enough and refused to sign the terms offered believing he was and is worth more.

All about money both ways and the signing on fee he could get if released on a free in the summer with a new deal elsewhere will more than outweigh what has been offered

Bye Frimpong!!!

He will never be seen again once he leaves us, a similar standard player to Mark Randall but with a bigger ego due to twitter if he didnt have such an unusual name he would even be spoken about.

Jol said: “If there is an opportunity to take him, I would probably do it.” - Hardly the most enthusiastic comment from Martin Jol

Frimpong is another Alliadi-useless, another Mark Randall -impressed as a kid but just doesn't have that extra bit of quality you need to get into a PL team as a regular. He would be unknown if it wasn't for that fucking "Dench" stupidity.

I have a new word; "Munge". Can I be famous now too please?

Hopefully he'll be shipped off and he'll no longer have the profile to embarrass the club via Twitter, Soccer AM etc

there was a time when you sent a kid out on loan and you expected him to get his head down, work hard, and put in a string of solid performances, and then when he came back for him to get his head down, work hard and put in a string of solid performances and you'd sign him up. if he didn't you'd sell him.

but not with the the wise woman in charge, oh no - now they get rewarded for their self belief and mentality.

frimpong is destined for QPR, birmingham or palace.

i can only imagine what George would have done with frimpong, bendtner, pennant and bentley. :box:

Not good enough I'm afraid plus has a worrying habit of snapping his ACLs, best if he moves on.

If Frimpong has a year left on his contract, why is there speculation he'll leave for free in the Summer. He isn't good enough for us, but I'm sure there's a few clubs willing to pay a couple of million for him. Surely he can't be on wages that would put off a potential buyer.

I see someone has hopped in their Delorian and gone back to 1985. Imo we need a few bigger, stronger more athletic players (that also have technique) but can do without red cards waiting to happen.
