wow this puts our troubles in some perspective - the news just broke in to say the NFL just announced that a Kansas Chiefs player shot dead his girlfriend in front of their 3 month old baby, drove to the stadium and then put his gun in his mouth in front of the manager and pulled the trigger.

very sad.

Very sad indeed.

God forbid that Wenger ever feels such remorse. :?

Look what Fergie did today Rafael played shite first 30 minutes so he took him off with 15 minutes to go for half time. That's why he wins trophies and our senile hasbeen is in 10th place.

preston north end were 2-0 up at half time and Martin Allen didn't like the way the game was turning at half time and made two substitutions.

martin allen. at half time. and they were winning.

Van Persie is just a phenomenal player. His hold-up play, passing ability, everything is just sublime. For a striker, his technique is good enough to play anywhere in midfield as well. Makes you realise just how limited our forwards are.

Van Persie was £24m and Giroud was £12m, but Van Persie is 10 times the player Giroud is, and he will age just like Bergkamp did, because his play does not rely on speed.

He really is the second coming of Dennis, or at least, the closest you can get to having an in-form Dennis again. I think he will be first choice for UTD for another 3 years AT LEAST.

Look, he made the right decision in moving, our squad/manager/board are shit and rapidly going down the table. He will win silverware this year.

Unless the censored word was rapist related

I think everybody on this forum agrees that we lack ambition and he's going to have a chance of winning stuff at United, where he also won't have to carry the whole side.

BUT to move to United after 8 years at the club was disgraceful in itself. Especially when 6 and a half of those years were spent mostly on the treatment table. The way he engineered his move and bent the club over with his self-serving statement (even if it was mostly correct) was fucking disgusting, especially from the captain of the Arsenal, regardless of the circumstances.

So, to recap, he's a *word censored*. End of.

He was bang on with everything he said in his statement, I agreed with him at the time and I agree with him now. He was spot on when he said the club lacked ambition. If I was in his situation, I would move too, and i'm an Arsenal fan :( To go through your whole career with a whiny French git and a soul-less squad of constantly changing players, not to mention no silverware to show for it is a travesty.

Van Persie is singing from the same hymn sheet as us, why petulantly insult him?

He's not singing from the same fucking hymn sheet at all. He released that statement hoping that it would tap into the disillusionment of the fans and detract from the fact that he's one of the biggest turncoats in our history, and you've jumped right on it. I bet you moan about the board's PR/spin/propaganda but he's pulled the wool over your eyes with a slick statement that Ivan would be proud of. As I said it may well be true but he's only said it in the hope that

After making comments down the years about always wanting to do things at Arsenal, about how he couldn't leave the club and added to comments from his family about never leaving, he announced on Twitter that he was going to leave. Not what you'd expect from club captain and player of 8 years who we carried for 6 and a half years. He released a petty statement that made it impossible for the club to force him to see out his contract and ended up training on his own while the squad was on their pre-season tour. He then insisted on joining United and refused to consider any other potential destinations.

It is possible to think that he left for the right reasons but also that he's still a huge *word censored* for choosing to leave.

And petulantly insult him? Really, from the person that said in his previous post "Unless the censored word was rapist related  "?
