Mourinho yes or no?
Re: Mourinho yes or no?
Maureenio would NEVER say that 2nd 3rd or 4th place is acceptable!! The guy is a winner and would be a dream for Arsenal. He would instantly take this very same squad of players and get at least 15 points more a season out of them if not 20+. I would love to see him at Arsenal.
Re: Mourinho yes or no?
I really, really dislike Jose, I always have. Despite his recent eye jabbing misadventure, he does seem to have grown up a bit. He is not as poisonous as he once was. I'm not scared of a Wengerless Arsenal, he can come, but we better have the cash.
So he isn't coming
.
Dont worry you can send your admirations to him when he is slating Arsenal as the new lord and master of Manchester Utd once Fergie retires.

Agreed, absolutely. And even though Moron-hio wouldn't be my first choice and I'd still always think he was a twat, if none of them were available for whatever reason and it meant Arsene leaving I'd take Moron-hio. Sad, but true.QuartzGooner wrote:Understand but there are alternatives to Mourinho.DB10GOONER wrote:I used to be this way. No.
Do not want Mourinho.
My personal dislike of him outweighs my lack of faith in Wenger.
I want Wenger out, but not Mourinho in.
What soul the club has left would be almost entirely vaporised by appointing Mourinho.![]()
TBH, if I was running the interviews for new Arsenal manager I'd only ask 2 questions;
1. Are you a tottingshite fan?
2. Have you a qualification in Economics?
Answer "no" to both and you are the new Arsenal manager!
Klopp, Guardiola, Garde, Laudrup, Moyes, Allegri are all worth considering.

But even without a billionaire's resources at his disposal (though Usmanov in charge would soon change that scenario) as TeeCee says, I would still back him to get a lot more out of our not insubstantial transfer budget (including wages) and even out of our current squad, just by better organisation and tactics.officepest wrote: IHH
His resources at Chelsea were bankrolled by Abramovich, at inter by Massimo Moratti and Madrid carve up a disproportionate amount of TV cash (along with Barca).
The point I'm making is we don't have a sugar daddy (available) for that level of outlay.

Personally I'd take him in a heartbeat fellas. Quality manager. Unfortunately with every day it passes the likelihood that we are going to be able to attract a quality manager wanes.
Don't know why people continually assume Klopp will be willing to leave a great young side at Dortmund who are capable of big things to come manage us when we're not in CL and still have a wage-bill full of failures.

Because we could triple his salary? Although I agree, why come to us when you're having too much fun knocking FC Bayern of their fucking perch.northbank123 wrote:Personally I'd take him in a heartbeat fellas. Quality manager. Re: Mourinho yes or no?
I have to disagree. He did great things in the past, managed to win the champions league twice at such small clubs (I know Inter are one of the best clubs in the history but let's be realistic, they were nobody at that time and what Mourinho did still impresses me) , then he went to Real Madrid and his career has been going down. Perez gave him as many players as he asked for and yet he lost 5-0 to Barcelona, he couldn't win the CL and Real Madrid fans stopped backing him when they realised Mou will never boost the academy. He only cares about money and himself, don't think he is what we need.TeeCee wrote:Maureenio would NEVER say that 2nd 3rd or 4th place is acceptable!! Re: Mourinho yes or no?
Are you kidding me?Some Gooners are saying they wouldnt want Mourinho as manager
.Football is not a personality contest where you have to like the manager its about winning and thats what Mourinho is a winner. How much money did he have when he won the CL at Porto?

Re: Mourinho yes or no?
Of course I would.
You don't have to like a manager in the same way you don't have to like your school teacher. That teacher will still get you off to college even if he is a c*nt.
Would rather have Moyes, though.

Re: Mourinho yes or no?
Call me old fashioned, but I prefer to look back upon my club's successes with admiration and not with a tinge of regret.
I know that we are being screwed by the board and that Wenger is a petulant
, but I would prefer to install a disciplinarian ahead of a spendthrift egomaniac.
I want success for Arsenal, but not at all costs. Just because the present incumbent has lost the plot, it does not mean that we have to keep following the same path.
Don't shoot me down for having a different opinion, but this is not about personality but more about pride.

Said no, not because I can't stand him - I find him quite e4ntertaining - but for similar reasons to Top Londoner above who said it as well as anyone could with 'spendthrift egomaniac'
Re: Mourinho yes or no?
agree to a certain extent however his own ego comes by the fact that he is a winner and he has been a winner whoever he has managed!! thats the mentality the team needs. however i he would ever come to us now anyway especially with the united job being up foir grabs. what he done with porto and winning the champions league with inter by far and away his best achievements to date. at least with him in charge we'd know we was no longer settling for our virtual trophy every seasonTop Londoner wrote:Call me old fashioned, but I prefer to look back upon my club's successes with admiration and not with a tinge of regret.
