My personal dislike of him outweighs my lack of faith in Wenger.

TBH, if I was running the interviews for new Arsenal manager I'd only ask 2 questions;

1. Are you a tottingshite fan?
2. Have you a qualification in Economics?

Answer "no" to both and you are the new Arsenal manager!

Understand but there are alternatives to Mourinho.
Klopp, Guardiola, Garde, Laudrup, Moyes, Allegri are all worth considering.

The point I'm making is we don't have a sugar daddy (available) for that level of outlay.

But even without a billionaire's resources at his disposal (though Usmanov in charge would soon change that scenario) as TeeCee says, I would still back him to get a lot more out of our not insubstantial transfer budget (including wages) and even out of our current squad, just by better organisation and tactics.

I have to disagree. He did great things in the past, managed to win the champions league twice at such small clubs (I know Inter are one of the best clubs in the history but let's be realistic, they were nobody at that time and what Mourinho did still impresses me) , then he went to Real Madrid and his career has been going down. Perez gave him as many players as he asked for and yet he lost 5-0 to Barcelona, he couldn't win the CL and Real Madrid fans stopped backing him when they realised Mou will never boost the academy. He only cares about money and himself, don't think he is what we need.

agree to a certain extent however his own ego comes by the fact that he is a winner and he has been a winner whoever he has managed!! thats the mentality the team needs. however i he would ever come to us now anyway especially with the united job being up foir grabs. what he done with porto and winning the champions league with inter by far and away his best achievements to date. at least with him in charge we'd know we was no longer settling for our virtual trophy every season
