When January comes unless we are touching distance to third place which we will need to guarantee entry to the PL the club will activate PLAN B .
This will see the selling of both Sagna and Walcott who will be replaced by ...................no one !
Henry has already been signed for a few weeks to keep the fans happy but the club will go into lockdown on spending to make up for revenue lost from the CL.
They will jettison squidly, larshavin end season and try to finally move Bendtner Chamakh + Denilson and even Djourou off the pay roll and generally lower the wage bill ............Wenger will then leave for PSG and we will go into mid table scrappers having recruited Remi Garde or someone equally obscure as manager .

Winger? I'm not sure I'd even class Gervinho as a footballer!

And too be fair, I think they've been trying in vain to sell Chamakh, Bendtner, Arshavin and Park (+ Denilson & Squillaci) but thanks to the ridiculously high wages Wenger put them all on, we'll be stuck with most of them until their contracts expire - just like we were with Almunia. Best we can do is loan them out to get some of their wages of our books and hope they do well enough to convince some silly fucker to buy them.

Forgive me for wanting competition for a starting spot between more than two strikers

Huntelaar has two, maybe three GOOD years left in him, Llorente is younger so if you class him as the same as Huntelaar then an internal/ready built solution is at hand with Llorente to replace an ageing Huntelaar.

Giroud is a decent striker who need to find his confidence, but not better than Huntelaar. I'd happily see Giroud on the bench instead of Chanakh, Bendtner or Park.
